Double row of squared drawn work around hem. Center back closure of three tiny mother-of-pearl buttons and loops. Cloth tape with blue script embroidered name: "Barbara Howell", for whom it was made.

Description: Day dress of dark blue silk crepe with red silk accents. Knee length, long sleeves, loose shift silhouette, square neckline created with triangle-shaped insert at bustline, giving the impression of a center front opening lined on both sides with mother of pearl buttons. Red silk accents as faux tie at neckline, three inserts at wide cuffs of long sleeves, and as band at hemline. No labels or makers marks. Losses throughout.

Description: Pair of gloves of light tan kid, with short flared cuff at wrist with alternating panels of salmon pink kid and light tan kid with salmon pink scrolled embroidery. Backs of hands with 3 vertical bands of chain-stitch embroidery in tan and pink/rust. Wrist with single snap clasp with mother of pearl (simulated?) cover.
