Hatlet

Description: Hatlet of black plastic, velvet, and veiling. Three thin crossed black bands form an off-center "*" which forms the shallow, curved crown of the hatlet. At top crossing, and at front two band ends are applied black velvet bows. The whole is overlaid with black veiling/net. No labels.

Description: Pillbox style hat of mustard yellow dyed Persian lamb (aka astrakhan). The short, cylindrical crown has a flat, inset top of brown velvet. The hat is lined in a bronze silk(?), and has inner brown grosgrain ribbon headband. Brown elastic cord to help secure it to wearer's head.

Description: Calotte of brown straw. Teardrop shaped crown of dark brown straw, with the "point" of the teardrop extending down the right side of the wearer's head. The edge of the crown is trimmed with two bands of grosgrain ribbon, cream and brown, which have been tightly pleated and arranged to simulate a herringbone pattern. Back zipper closure with two hook & eyes on waistband. Half-lined.

Description: A) Cocktail dress of pink taffeta with hand smocked detail and pleated bands. Strapless. Bands of smocking and pleating and ruching are arranged horizontally across bodice and full skirt. Inner bust pads. Some boning. Bodice lined in same pink taffeta, skirt with inner lining layer of white net/tulle. No labels, but attached handwritten tag "Hesloy" or "Heslay" B) string belt of self fabric.
