Sling-Back Pumps

Description: Pair of sling-back pumps of multicolored (tan, gray, red) print fabric. The shoes are designed with pointed toes, the uppers cut away at sides and back, and with a long strap that secures from sides of toebox, back to sides of heel, and with another strap attaching to the side straps at about the ankle and passing behind the heel. Stiletto heel is covered with the same fabric. On the toebox of the shoe are applied simulated colored gemstones/rhinestones of two sizes. Description: Pair of metallic leather pumps. Shoes of textured pink or rose metallic hue with silver undertones, edged in black velvet on vamp and around peep-toe. Slingback, fastened by black rhinestone-accented buckles. 3 1/4" spike/stiletto heels covered in the same leather. Each shoe marked inside vamp: "4 1/2 M 4311-SLW / 26080". Stamped on left shoe: "Herbert Levine / Fine Shoes"; Stamped on right shoe: "Neiman-Marcus". Stamped on both "Hand / Lasted".

Description: Pair of pumps of purple satin. The shoes are designed with sharply pointed toes, and a gently squared vamp, across which is a large bow of the same satin. The sides are cut slightly lower, and the stiletto heels are covered in same fabric, flaring slightly to base. Hat

Description: Hat of light-colored straw. Domed crown is surmounted by small sphere of woven straw, and is canted back slightly. Around the base of the crown is a wide band of two layers of white grosgrain ribbon which have extending ends at side. The "snap brim" is slanted downwards at front, but turned up at sides and back. The hat is lined in a fine golden/yellow mesh, and has an inner white grosgrain ribbon hatband at base of crown. Maker's label sewn to inner hatband: "Emme Inc / New York" Retailer's label sewn to inner hatband: "Amen Wardy / El Paso - Texas"

Description: Pair of pumps. The open-toed shoes have vamps formed of black leather covered in a rhinestone-covered black fabric "bunched" at center with a circular rhinestone-set black metal button. Description: Coat dress of black silk taffeta jacquard-woven with supplemental pile design in the weft. Black buttons down front. Flaring skirt. A) Coat dress of black silk taffeta with off-white fuzzy woven-in polka dots. Calf-length(? - depends on petticoats), with a small modified "Peter Pan" turn-down collar, which has attached front bias bands to tie into bow at front of collar. 3/4-length set-in sleeves. Center front opening with 16 black circular plastic buttons, hidden snaps at waist and throat, and hook-and-eye at waist. Full, flaring skirt with 13 gores. Unlined. Combined Designer's/Retailer's label: "Neiman-Marcus Dallas / Traina-Norell" B) Belt of matching fabric, backed with black leather. Narrow, with rectangular buckle covered in same fabric. Stamped on reverse: "30+"

Description: Pillbox hat of white straw. The slightly domed crown is of made of white (artificial?) straw, a tight narrow weave under a layer of wide, looser bands which weave in and out of the tightly woven section. The hat is unlined, with an inner hatband of white grosgrain ribbon around inside base of crown. There are no labels or marks in the hat.

Pillbox Hat

Description: Pillbox hat of off-white and pink brocade. The conical crown with flattened top is made of brocade fabric with flowers and butterflies in off-whites, gray/greens and pinks on a grayish ground. On the right side of the hat is a large bow made of strips of the brocade backed in a gray/blue. The center of the bow is encircled with a band of gray beads, with a matching band of beads at base of hat. The hat has a light tan veil. The hat is lined in gray/blue mesh and edged with an inner hatband of gray/blue grosgrain ribbon. A small plastic comb is attached at either side to secure hat to wearer's head. Designer's label sewn to inner hatband: "Bes-Ben / Made in Chicago"

Calotte

Description: Calotte. The hat has a conical crown of stiffened green net overlaid with green straw woven/plaited loops and with attached artificial cherries and leaves. The calotte (also spelled "calot") has a thin green velvet trim along base of crown. Label sewn into inner edge of crown: "Styled by / Coralie", with "Finlan" written on edge of label. Behind the Coralie label is a Union label.

Description: Pillbox hat of beige/light brown suede. The low, cylindrical crown is of suede, with a thin band of black patent leather piping along inner edge of sides, encircling the flattened crown. At back of hat is a flat bow of black patent leather. The hat is lined in cream and gold brocade, and has edging of black rickrack and two small combs to help secure hat to wearer's head. Maker's label inside: "Made Especially / for you by / Henry".

Pillbox Hat

Description: Pillbox of navy blue velvet. The low, cylindrical crown is flattened at top, and surrounded by gathers of same cloth "banded" by vertical loops of dark blue satin braiding creating two horizontal bands. Hat is lined in dark blue netting, and was designed with two small combs to help secure it to wearer's head, one now missing. Retailer's label inside: "Harold's / Minneapolis".

Description: Calotte of off-white satin. The calotte (also spelled "calot") has a domed crown covered with horizontally pleated off-white satin, and comes to points at temples. On right point is a large flower-like puff of same material. Hat is unlined, allowing stiffened white net under-structure to be seen. Hat has inner off-white grosgrain hatband and a small comb to help secure it to wearer's head.

Description: Hat of gray and natural straw. The low, domed crown is of a dark blue-gray woven straw, encircled at the base by a band of red velvet ribbon that forms a bow at front and has trailing ends at back. The wide brim of the same dark blue-gray straw is oval, set so sides are wider than front/back edges. Over the brim is a smaller oval panel of natural woven straw, giving the effect of a second, smaller brim. The hat is unlined, with dark blue-gray grosgrain ribbon hatband. Designer's label on inner hatband: "Marion Vallé / New York". Retailer's label on inner hatband: "Gus Mayer / Co. Ltd."

Hat styled as a calotte (also spelled "calot") with wide woven bands of dark and light gray straw forming an illusion of massed dark gray flowers with scattered light gray blossoms. Constructed as an open center ring, the crown is domed, with a wavy lower edge along front and beginning of sides. Front of hat is overlaid with grey net veil with three small gray ribbon bows along upper edge. Accompanied by a single grey-headed hatpin.
