Sling-Back Shoes

Description: Pair of sling-back shoes of hand-painted leather. The shoes are designed with a slightly pointed toe, cut away beyond toe-box. The single strap fastens at outer edge with a gold buckle. The heel is a modified Spike heel, covered with matching leather. The leather used is painted with a pale blue background on which is an over-all pattern of scrolling framework in beige and dark green, with rosettes, flowers, quatrefoils, etc. in greens, pinks, blues, etc. Maker's label inside: "Herbert Levine / Fine Shoes" and "Hand Lasted" Retailer's label inside: "Neiman-Marcus" Handwritten inside: "6AAA 9214-4L2 / 32769"

Description: Pair of shoes of beige leather. The heeled shoes are designed with slightly pointed closed toe-box, with a large, non-functional curved rectangular textured metal buckle across instep. Sling-back in style, the shoes have a strap of same leather extending from either side of toe-box back, around heel, through short straps at sides, and buckling with small metal buckles at outside ankle. Pumps

Description: Pair of pumps of cream lizard skin. The shoes are designed with a slightly squared-off toe. The uppers are of cream lizard/reptile, and feature cream leather stitching running lengthwise up center of instep/toebox, and vertically up the back of the heel. The upper is also edged with thin piping of cream leather. Thick, chunky heel, flaring slightly to base. Description: Hat from wedding ensemble. E) Wedding hat of lace matching dress. Flat crown with rolled edges. Trimmed in tulle net and ivory velvet bows on top of crown with two wide streamers down back. Lined in netting with elastic band for securing hat to wearer's head. Pillbox Hat

Description: Pillbox hat of golden yellow/brown fur felt. The cylindrical crown is slightly domed at top, and the sides slant slightly outwards to base. At left side, near front, is a "brush" of golden yellow/brown "feather-hay", held in place by a line of rhinestones which curves at each end. Hat is lined in tan fabric with printed designs in one quadrant. Inner hatband of brown/yellow/tan grosgrain ribbon. Evidence of holes to attach combs at each side to secure hat to wearer's head, now missing. Designer's label inside at back edge: "Sue Dooley / Dallas"

Pillbox Hat

Description: Pillbox hat of brown fur. The pillbox crown is formed of a cylinder of brown fur. Lined with metallic weave fabric with stripes of red, green, gold metallic, edged with brown grosgrain ribbon and with a band of gold rickrack. At each side, attached to inner band, is a small plastic comb to secure hat to wearer's head. Designer's label at inside back edge: "Sue Dooley / Dallas"

Ankle-strap fastens with small rectangular black metal buckles. 3" black-lacquered French set-under heel similar to a spike form.
