Gloves
Pair of ladies' gloves. The "hands" are of pale brown with white fabric, possibly a silk/cotton blend. Seamed on inside, they have 3 darts on back of each hand done with dark brown stitching. At wrist on each side is a v-shaped extension which joins to the "cuff", which is of light brown cotton with yellow tones. The scalloped edges of the "cuff" and semi-circular sections on the back of each are piped in dark brown fabric. The "cuffs" are styled as a wrap dress, with an overlap at back of wrist. The overlap has a single cylindrical button of black plastic designed to appear carved with three notches in the side revealing pale green/yellow below and at ends. Manufacturer's tag inside gloves: "Kayser, 52 * Reg / Made in Germany / 6"; Stamped in lining by tag: "Kayser 52". The gloves are accompanied by the original paper care tag: "WASH / GLOVES / ON HANDS / Use almost cool / water and a pure / mild soap. We re- / commend PALM- / OLIVE BEADS. Do / not rub. After wash- / ing take gloves off / rinse thoroughly in / cold water. Pull / lengthwise wrap / and squeeze in / towel. Then stretch / into shape and / leave to dry / KAYSER / The Name on every pair / Made in Germany / Trade Marks / Rege Krussig."
Dress
Dress of blue, green, pink, and black taffeta and satin in horizontal woven bands. The full-length dress has a sweetheart neckline which gathers at bust to simulate a bow. The fitted bodice has short raglan-style sleeves with gathers at the shoulder seams. The long skirt is gathered at the natural waist. The dress is unlined, and has hook-and-eye closures on left side along bodice.
Dress
Dress of black and purple diagonal woven stripe taffeta. It has a V- neckline in front and back, and has a fitted bodice with balloon peplum which gathers into the waist. Sleeveless, the dress has black velvet straps with striped flounces on each side and has black velvet petals attached to the straps. The long, straight skirt has a front slit. Dress has a center back zipper closure, and is unlined. No labels.
Ensemble - Dress and Bolero Jacket
Evening ensemble in orange and taupe crepe. The sleeveless, full-length dress is of taupe crepe, and has a "V" neckline in front and a deep "V" in back. Around high waist is a wide band of orange crepe outlined in gold braid and oval simulated pearls. The band is heavily beaded in faux coral and turquoise beads in various patterns and floral motifs. The bodice of the dress gathers into the front of the band, and has a zipper and hook-and-eyes closure at left side. The Bolero jacket is of the orange crepe. The cropped jacket has a rounded neckline and long sleeves. The neckline, center front opening, and lower hem is heavily beaded to match the band on the dress, with added faux turquoise beading in floral forms on the front panels of the jacket. No labels in either garment.

Coat of cream colored broadtail. Hip- to 7/8-length. Long sleeves with wide cuffs trimmed in brown mink. Detachable collar of brown mink with 4 bands of brown mink, two per side, which snap at collar (3 snaps) and hang down at front. Center front closure, which fastens with double-strand ribbon belt from interior at right to loop on left edge of coat. Fully lined in cream silk, with applied silk monogram quilted to lining: "RYL". Retailer's label at inside back collar: "Bergdorf / Goodman / Fifth Avenue / at 58th Street"

First Communion dress of off-white rayon blend. Mid-length; short sleeves. Bands of cotton crocheted lace around sleeve hem and 8 1/2" above skirt hem. Round collar has square matching crochet lace inset below. Belt of self fabric is attached at sides of waist and closes with self-covered rings. Princess seams. Center back zipper closure. Unlined.

Lined in white satin. Remains of label, mostly illegible, in pieces, covered with crepeline. "65-67 Champ ........ Paris" B) Blouse of white satin. Collarless with piped, rounded, high neckline and string tie at front (decorative). Long, set-in sleeves gathered into cuffs with single button and tailored buttonhole at each cuff. Front with wide center and two narrow vertical pin-tucks. Center back closure with 7 circular shell/mother-of-pearl buttons and tailored buttonholes. No labels in shirt. C) Skirt. Street-length, A-line with 1-1/2 inch waistband. Two pairs of circular dark blue buttons on waistband for securing "suspenders". Left side zipper with four sets of hook-and-eyes (one missing). Simulated pleats, sewn down, with vertical strips of same fabric sewn to skirt giving illusion of further pleating. Unlined. Label on waistband to left of zipper: "Made In France"
Chauffer's Uniform Greatcoat
Man's chauffeur's uniform greatcoat of black wool with black astrakhan (3 day old lamb) fur collar. The full-length overcoat is double-breasted, with long sleeves and a flap pocket at each hip. Torso lined in heavy brown muton. Maker's label inside pocket, part printed, part filled in by hand: "Lexington / National Tailoring Co., Inc / Better quality uniforms / 851 Lexington Ave., N.Y. / Name: John Forsythe / Date: 10/31/34 No.: 9622" NRA "Blue Eagle" label inside pocket Stamped on inner side of lining: "Taskinlamb"
Skimmer
Skimmer hat of straw and silk. The skimmer, or boater style hat has a low woven straw crown with flat top. Around the crown is a matching woven straw ribbon edged in brown silk, with a bow at back. The wide, flat brim is of woven straw, covered with brown silk matching the trimming of the band on the crown. The silk covering is quilted in a pattern of concentric bands with running wavy lines. The crown and underside of the brim are unlined, with a black grosgrain ribbon inner hatband at base of crown. Extending from the inner hatband are two panels of brown silk, forming a chin-strap with black cord knot fastener. A small "F" is stitched to inner hatband to indicate the front of the hat. Maker's label sewn to inner hatband: "Paris / Maynor Hats / New York".

Ceremonial Skirt of ochre-orange cotton with purple stripes and metallic thread. One piece of fabric sew into a floor-length tube, with tripes running horizontally. Textile created on a backstrap loom, design motifs hand embroidered with couched metallic threads, with decorative band of densely-embroidered geometric motifs at the bottom hem.

Man's Pantalones (Pants). Handwoven back strap loomed in cotton. White with purple stripes about 1/2" wide. Hand embroidered cotton design motifs at lower leg. Hand-stitched construction.

Lined with white cotton in Delft blue inspired print. b) Pants. Wide legs with knitted cuffs. High waisted; belt loops on waistband and adjustable tabs with buckles below waistband at sides. Hat of black felt. The crown is designed as a shallow dome with front hatband of wide black velvet ribbon with a large bow. Wide circular brim turns up at back and is secured with two wide vertical bands of same black velvet ribbon. Unlined; headband of black grosgrain ribbon. Elastic band for securing hat to head.

Caplet of ermine. A) Short cape/caplet of white ermine fur. No collar, with high neckline. Single armhole at right side, set low, allowing lower arm to come through. Left side with no armhole, but with extra fullness so caplet drapes over arm. Fastens at upper left with hook and loop. As designed, the strips of fur appear diagonal when worn, creating the image of the piece being cut on the bias. Lined in pale peach/cream silk. Designer's label at inside right: "Madeline Vionnet / depose" B) Large "puff" of ermine tails to ornament left shoulder. Loop on back to attaches to closure.
