Evening Coat

Description: Evening coat of blue French silk brocade which has been hand beaded and embroidered with clear, silver, opalescent and pale blue beads and sequins matching original brocade pattern. High, standing collar, somewhat as a modified cowl. Mid-length sleeves are trimmed in natural Russian golden sable. Front opening, slightly to left of center, secured with three hidden snaps, including two in collar, curved lower edges where opening flaps meet. Lined in silk taffeta. Designer's label at inside center back: "Michael / Faircloth"

Of off-white cotton with an intricate floral motif print in various shades of greens and pinks outlined in a thin line of grey; yoke with shirring at center-back and pin pleats below yoke at center-front; 1” straps with tiny floral print of pinks; yoke is lined in off-white cotton and dress has attached under-layer with 1 ½” hem that matches print on straps; A-line silhouette.
