Front placket with 6 mother-of-pearl 1" non-functioning buttons and bound buttonholes gives a double breasted appearance. Rolled collar which wraps around neckline is fastened with a matching button and loop and 12 covered snaps. Long, set-in sleeves. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Lined in sheer, ivory organza.

Skirt suit of cream and olive green loose weave wool twill bordered in olive green suede. A) Jacket with empire waist and bracelet length sleeves; covered hook and D-ring closure. Inseam pocket. Gathered at back. Half lined in olive silk. Designer's label at right side seam: "A / Bonnie Cashin / Design / Sills and Co." B) Pencil skirt with left side zipper closure. Partially lined at back in olive green silk crepe.

Hatlet of brown velvet. The open-crown hat is formed of a hollow square with down-turned sides and corners, covered in brown velvet and edged in tiny pearls. "Flying" around the hat are 8 golden stamped metal hummingbirds. One wing of each bird is hinged, allowing movement of the birds as the wearer moves their head. Over all is a brown net veil "capturing" the hummingbirds, with scattered gathers of 4 pearls. The underside is edged in brown grosgrain ribbon, and has two small plastic combs attached to secure hatlet to wearer's head. Sewn onto the inner ribbon is maker's label: "Bes-Ben / Made in Chicago". Also sewn onto inner ribbon is hand-written label "917". Measurements: 14 x 15 cm. without net; 10 cm. from base of brim to highest tip of bird wing.

Dress of black bouclé wool. Empire waistline. Short, puffed sleeves with black satin piping at hem; gathers reinforced at shoulders with stiff black fabric. Wide, scooped neckline with black satin piping. Knee length. Black satin belt is 1" wide, attached at sides and ties in back. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Side slit pockets. Lined in black chiffon in bodice and black silk below empire waistline with black grosgrain ribbon petersham closed with hook & eye. Silk tie at neckline hangs down front and back. Center back opening with 5 self-covered buttons and bound buttonholes supplemented with snaps at neckline. Top portion lined in ivory silk, bottom portion lined in brown silk. Designer's label in skirt: "Norman Norell / New York". Retailer's(?) label sewn into lining, partly obscured: "Saks Fifth Avenue / Helas / Greenhill / 4-19-66 5322". Union label in skirt near designer's label. This garment shows evidence at hemline of having been shortened.

Cocktail dress in a pink, blue and green chiffon print with gold thread embroidery in paisley pattern. Cocktail length with gathered skirt. V-shaped neckline trimmed in ruffle of self. Long, set-in sleeves with ruffled cuffs of self. Set-in 2" waistline has snap indicating dress possibly had a belt or attached bow at one time. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Outer dress is backed in green organdy and body of dress is lined in green silk. Hemline and draped sleeve bordered in 4" band of light aqua blue organza with under band of hot pink organza. Evening dress of layered green chiffon. The full-length dress has an empire waistline, a high rounded jewel neckline, and long sleeves with zippered cuffs. The dress is composed of a top layer of chiffon with gold metallic thread embroidered dots/circles, the bodice and sleeves with further embellishment of scattered rosettes of gold beads and sequins, and single sequins. The waist is ornamented with bands of gold beads (spherical and wheat), and sequins spreading from waist upwards. The dress has an under-layer of heavy green silk crepe. from bust to hem. Center back closure, hook and loop at top, zipper on bodice which continues under skirt as part of lining. Skirt with snap closure at waist. Evening gown of silk in light purple floral print against a forest green background. Printed chiffon evening gown in olive greens, brown and lavender. Deep decollete front and back. Fabric looped up on left side for irregular silhouette. Right shoulder covered with gathered chiffon which hangs down to form a long train. Right side zipper. Neckline trim of dark green velvet with bronze braid and sequins. Lined in pink organza and trimmed at hem with matching metallic bronze braid and sequins.

Hat of woven orange balibuntl straw. Designed as a "mod" interpretation of a cloche, to be worn high on the head.

Hat of light brown felt and net. Styled as a boater or "Pamela hat", the low, domed crown is of stiffened light brown net, overlaid with light brown felt circles of various sizes, and irregular band around the lower edge. At back is a bow, secured under a strap of the felt, made of lighter brown/beige satin tube ribbon. The brim is of the same felt, curling up at outer edge, banded at outer edge in the same satin tube ribbon. The hat is unlined, with inner light brown grosgrain ribbon hatband. Designer's(?) label inside: "Anniversaire / Original / by New Era" Additional tag: "ADJ / M.S.C."

Sailor hat of natural straw cloth with wide red velvet band and bow under brim formed as part of hatband. Small brim also has narrow band of red velvet around outside edge on top. Size label: "22 1/2"

Bowler or derby inspired hat of fine red baku straw. Shallow 2" crown with slightly rounded top. Has 1 1/2" wide slightly squared flat brim rolled at sides. 3/8" wide hat band of self ties in a small bow. Unlined with red grosgrain ribbon inner headband.

Hat of black silk organza. Overall effect is turban-like. Hat is formed with bias organza draped over calotte cap. Fabric drapes across back and is turned under at center back. 1-1/4" wide satin bow 2" above lower edge at center front. Lined with netting and has black grosgrain ribbon headband with comb at front for securing hat to wearer's head.

Slouch/Garbo style hat of tan fur felt. High domed crown and wide floppy brim. Hatband of tan grosgrain ribbon and bow as trim at right side. Headband of green grosgrain ribbon; unlined. Stamped on crown: Martelle / Body Made in West Germany Designer label: Styled by / Coralie

Pair of shoes of navy blue leather. The shoes are designed with square toes and dark leather uppers. A wide rectangular panel of navy blue simulated reptile skin extends from the toe, up the vamp, below an oval cut-out in the vamp, and up the instep to create a tongue. The 2 1/4" high heel is covered with same blue leather, and tapers to base. (At left) Raincoat of black vinyl. The modified A-line coat is of short length, extending to just at or below the knee, and has long sleeves. Center-front opening is secured with 3 silver/chrome clip closures, one at the rounded neckline and two at waist. There is one patch pocket at the right hip. The coat is fully lined in synthetic with vertical stripes of pink, green, blue, violet, and red on a black ground. Size 10. Manufacturer's label inside at center back just below neckline: "La Flaque / de Paris". At right inside side-seam is a Union Label.
