Evening coat

Description: Evening coat of black rayon, crepe textured jacquard. Black chiffon below fur at cuffs. Black glass beaded geometric spiral motif embellishments. The beading repeats the spiral pattern of the jacquard/damask weaving of the cloth. Rayon braid center closure; square shaped with two hook & loops. Narrow shawl collar of black rabbit fur with matching fur at cuffs. Lined in gray/green crepe. 22 inch waist.

Designed with gently pointed toes, vamp with openwork edged with gilt kid leather, with oval rhinestone set buckle and gilt leather strap connecting sides across vamp. Upper edged with gilt leather. Description: Pair of gloves of kid skin leather; off-white; below wrist length. Single snap fastenings at wrist. On back of each glove, running length-wise down hand are three embroidered bands of cream and black. Cuffs from wrist to end are lined with black silk heavily embroidered with a stylized motif of ovals etc. in blue, terracotta, yellow, and green chain stitching, with outlining in tiny silver beads. Description: Pair of gloves of light tan kid, with short flared cuff at wrist with alternating panels of salmon pink kid and light tan kid with salmon pink scrolled embroidery. Backs of hands with 3 vertical bands of chain-stitch embroidery in tan and pink/rust. Wrist with single snap clasp with mother of pearl (simulated?) cover. Stamped inside each glove: "AY - 23967" Measurements: 9 1/8” overall length fingertip to end of cuff. 4 1/16” at widest part of cuff.

Description: Handbag. Rectangular silver art deco openwork frame set with tiny marcasites and circular cabochon black stones (onyx?). Bag is of black silk velvet. Handle of black silk velvet with two silver rings set with marcasites. Lined with dusty pink ribbed silk, and containing a small rectangular mirror. Marked on frame: "MD" in a square; Diamond shaped mark with an M over a K; and an illegible shield-shaped punch.
