Center front opening with 3 circular pink plastic buttons with bound buttonholes. Two front welt pockets. Lined in pink silk. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Balenciaga / 10, Avenue George V. Paris" Stamped style number behind designer's label: "105669" Main body of coat cut from few pieces of fabric. Center back seam, where bias-cut panels meet, and back panels gather into collar. Front cut "straight grain".

Evening/cocktail dress of black and white satin. Long torso fitted top. Sleeveless, with wide boat neck of black satin. Zipper down the back. Full harem skirt of black, white, and grey striped and dotted silk with one large black satin bow at hip line and another bow of same at the hem of the short, "balloon" style skirt. Designer's label at left inside seam: "Boutique / Christian Dior / Paris" and "Made in France".

Cocktail dress of black silk brocade with a wide portrait collar and plunging V'ed back neckline; short kimono sleeves cut with wedge shaped gussets; centerback opening secured with five tailored buttonholes and five covered shank buttons supplemented with two hook&eyes at the point of the back neckline; hook&eyes are disguised with a drooping looped bow; horizontal empire seam at bust level with draped fullness over the bust; semi-full, bell shaped, knee-length skirt with deep, turned, bound hem; skirt is darted through the waist, boned inner bodice/bustier of matching black silk brocade; centerback zipper closure with a black silk faille placket secured at the top and bottom with hook&eyes; inner bodice is lined in black silk crepe chiffon; black grosgrain waist stay secured with a single hook&eye; attached, gored, knee-length, black horsehair petticoat with black silk lining. Label located inside right sideseam of bodice lining.

Cocktail dress of black silk taffeta with black trim. Low V-neck front and back, elbow length sleeves. Extremely narrow foundation skirt in "Hobble Skirt" style, with pleated overskirt caught up underneath. The front is decorated with cord decoration, the back is plain. No label found, attrib from Donor's description.

Notched lapel; bracelet length sleeves. Lined in black silk. Evidence of label removed. b) Dress of black ribbed silk. Collarless rounded neckline; sleeveless. Straight skirt, elasticized waist. Back zipper closure with small tie belt of same fabric attached at waist. Back of bodice lined in black silk; balance of dress unlined.

Natural waist with an A-line over skirt and with under skirt of dark gray silk and 7" hemline of matching wool creating a tiered or multi-layer look. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Skirt lined in dark gray silk and bodice lined in black organza with black grosgrain ribbon petersham and black silk noil support structure.

Full length sleeves cut in one with jacket body supplemented by triangular shaped gusset under the arm. 2-1/2" straight cuffs. Single breasted front closure with five circular rust colored plastic buttons and covered button holes. Lined in rust colored silk. Designer's label: "Balenciaga / 10, Avenue George V. Paris" Maker's tag under designer's label: "53294" b) Straight skirt of rust wool tweed. Rolled waistband with zipper in back supplemented with 2 hook closures. Lined in rust colored silk. c) Blouse of brown jersey wool. Bateau neckline with 1" fold over, 3/4 length sleeves with 1 1/4" straight cuffs and band at bottom. Lined in brown silk.

Evening ensemble consisting of gold brocade evening gown trimmed in white mink with matching coat and detachable train. A) Evening coat of gold brocade. Ballerina length with short, dolman sleeves. Banded neckline. Center front opening is cutaway in front below waist and tapers to hem. Lined in gold metallic organdy. B) Evening dress of gold brocade with white mink fur trim at the neckline and hips. Full length with princess seaming and slight A-line to skirt. Scooped back. Fur trim around neckline and back goes over shoulders to form straps of dress. Center back zipper. Belt of fur at hips closes in back the 3 covered hook & eyes. Skirt lined in white tulle. Bodice is boned and lined in white netting and closes in back with hook & eyes. Designer's Label: "Balenciaga / 10 Avenue George V Paris" Model label behind designer's label: "74184" C) Detachable train of gold brocade. Train is rectangular in shape and gathers into smocking where it attaches to back of dress with snaps and hook & eyes. Floor length. Unlined.
