Description: Hat of green net and artificial flowers. Formed somewhat as a Juliet cap, the net base has wire stiffened edges and forms a close, rounded crown with sections that extend down sides and back of head. The base is covered with artificial flowers (daisies or dogwood blossoms?), with green cloth stems and leaves, the blossoms with white petals and yellow centers. Unlined. With 3 black bobby-pins for securing to wearer's head.

Description: Hat of bright, light orange felt hat. The domed crown is wrapped with a "pleated" pale orange silk chiffon band, over which is a second layer of a very light gray/smoke colored net. Description: Cocktail hat of violet silk satin. The hat is formed of a low, cylindrical, flat-topped pillbox-style crown covered in drapes of violet/purple silk satin fabric. At center front/top of the crown are two large sculptural stiffened loops of the fabric. Crown is lined in cream fabric. Along inside lower edge of crown is a cream grosgrain ribbon band. No labels. Donor stated: "...worn on back of head with upstanding loops in front, made for a grey lace three-quarter cocktail dress..."

Description: Hat of beige/brown felt. The domed crown gently transitions into the medium-width brim, and extends forward in front, flattening and forming a bill-like extension. At sides and back, brim turns up and extends vertically most of height of crown. The underside of the brim/bill is made of same felt, carried under to continue same facing as top. Crown is unlined, and the hat has a brown grosgrain ribbon inner hatband and a black elastic cord secured to inner hatband to help secure hat to wearer's head. Label sewn inside crown: "Mr. John"

The base is of black lace/net, totally covered with massed black sequins. At sides are small diamond-shaped sections that extend down to either side of wearer's head. At right side are two fans or "conch shaped" decorations of navy grosgrain ribbon. The hat is overlaid at front with a navy veil. Inner navy grosgrain ribbon hatband. Description: Hat of off-white straw. The domed crown is composed of flattened tiers to form a beret-like layer effect. The lower edge is trimmed in an off-white fabric, which repeats as a band of tubular ribbon and fan-comb at one side. The crown is unlined, with an inner hatband of off-white grosgrain ribbon. Two small plastic combs are attached to the inner hatband to secure the hat to wearer's head.

Description: Hat of natural-colored straw. Hat is composed of two parts. The inner circular pillbox-style crown is covered in navy blue shantung. Around the pillbox is the woven straw brim, which extends downwards in a bell-shape, and also extends upwards around the pillbox, forming four flaps that overlap the top of the crown. The opening at top of the crown formed by the flaps is bordered in red piping, and two of the flaps meet at top of crown and are tied with red and blue bows. The pillbox section of the crown is lined in yellow textured weave. Sewn into the lining along the edge of the crown is label: "LilyAn / Originals".

Around the base of the crown is a wide band of two layers of white grosgrain ribbon which have extending ends at side. The "snap brim" is slanted downwards at front, but turned up at sides and back. The hat is lined in a fine golden/yellow mesh, and has an inner white grosgrain ribbon hatband at base of crown. Description: Hat of straw. Natural-color straw hat in the style of a modified boater. Shallow domed crown is encircled by a black velvet ribbon with rhinestone set buckle at front securing bow with large loops. Around the front 2/3 of the hat is black veiling/net. The short brim is slightly off-center, extending farther at front than back. The underside of the brim is partly lined in black velvet, while the crown has an inner brown grosgrain hatband. No designer's labels or retailer's labels. A single printed cloth label is sewn to the hatband: "22" Accompanied by two short hatpins with black velvet-covered heads.

The high, cylindrical crown has a rounded edge, and has top-stitching in parallel rows arranged in panels, forming a "patchwork" pattern. The crown is encircled at the base by a wide folded band of beige fabric with bow at back. Wide brim slopes downwards, and has concentric rings of top-stitching. The crown is lined with cream fabric printed in dark golden yellow with "Mr. John" logo in script over entire field. The hat has an inner black grosgrain ribbon hatband, and a second under layer band of off-white lace. Designers Label: "Mr. John" Accompanied by a small hat pin, the head covered with fabric matching the hatband/bow.

Description: Hat of gray felt with gray beads and silver sequins. The cylindrical crown flares from lower edge to upper, and has a low domed, set in top. The surface of the hat is covered in curving, meandering lines of gray beads, enhanced by double-bands of silver sequins which form "zig-zag" motifs on sides, and around dome of crown. Front and sides of hat overlaid with short length of light gray net veil. Hat is unlined, with gray grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. No labels in hat.
