Dress of white silk with multicolored bird and foliage print. Squared neckline with double collar. Short set-in sleeves with two reverse tucks at cuff. Mid-calf length. Two layers of reversed tucks below natural waist line. Back interest of three tiers of sculptural pleating simulating a flat bustle; folds are attached on right and close on left with three snaps. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Unlined. With matching belt of same fabric, 1-1/2" wide. Rectangular, self-covered buckle.
Cocktail or Evening Dress. The mid-length dress has a pink crepe under-dress/slip which is overlaid with a black net sheath embellished with lavish black bead-work in the forms of rose-heads forming a trellis and fan-shapes in the openings of the trellis. The dress is sleeveless, with a high boat neckline. At natural waist is an attached pink satin belt with bow in front. Center back zipper, with section of hooks-and-eyes at upper part. There are two labels in the dress, the Retailer's label "Neiman-Marcus" sewn inside at waist to right of zipper, and maker's label sewn inside near top of under-dress on left of zipper "Made in British Crown / Colony Hong Kong". With accompanying long rectangular pink chiffon scarf. No labels on scarf.
Evening dress of pale champagne silk chiffon crepe; fitted bodice of silk chiffon with silk satin ribbon trim, and vertical stripes which go down to hem of skirt. Silk satin ribbon forms a V from center-front bodice and wraps over shoulders to back of dress. Ribbon bow at center back falls to middle of skirt and hides a zipper and hook&eye closure. Bodice has interior support with boning and petersham. Mid-length skirt has many layers of chiffon creating a full appearance; skirt is lined in matching silk. Open pleats over bust with mock bow and attached 14'' wide stole lined with silk organza which drapes over right shoulder and down back. Straight skirt with small inverted pleats at each hip bone, 23 1/2'' long from waist. Center back 24'' zipper closing with hook and eye at top and waist line. French netting, boned bustier with black grosgrain ribbon and hook & eye closure on inside. Skirt is lined to hip front and back with navy taffeta. Waist seam; 3/4 length skirt with pleats on front and back of skirt. Half-length sleeves with self covered button, turn-back cuffs and bound buttonhole. Armhole princess seams front and back. Tucks on front and back bodice. Center back zipper. Lined in blue organdy with 1/2" blue grosgrain ribbon petersham. With belt of self-fabric forming a bow at center front with hook & eye and snap closure. Designer's label at center back seam below zipper: "Christian Dior - New York, Inc."
Toque of black satin and mink. The crown of the hat is formed as a cylinder of heavy black satin, with slightly domed flat top. Around crown is wide band of black mink, almost as wide as the hat is tall. A small band of black satin is visible below mink band, and a small bow of heavy black satin is affixed at center front. Hat is lined in black satin, with inner black grosgrain ribbon hatband, and two small attached plastic combs to secure hat to wearer's head. Designer's label at inside hatband: "Styled by / Coralie"
Hatlet of black mesh and heavy black braid. The brimless small hat is designed as a skull-cap of stiff black mesh with shaped edge, covering top of hat, extending down towards temple on right, cut straight across front, and rounded on left. The outer edge is trimmed in black velour, and has a border of two thick bands of black plain flat braid. The entire rest of the crown is covered with flat black braid curving around crown, the spaces filled by thick black looped cord braid. Unlined. Retailer's label inside crown: "Neiman- Marcus" Accompanied by a small hatpin with small simulated black pearl for head.

Below-knee length, the dress has princess seaming to create fitted bodice, with wide V-neckline, 3/4" shoulder straps and straight skirt. 1" belt of self fabric from front darts to center back. Center back zipper. Unlined. Designer's label: "Christian Dior Original / Made in U.S.A. / Christian Dior - New York Inc." Retailer's label: "Harzfeld's / Kansas City" B) Jacket. Cropped jacket is pleated in front and back to a 3" waistband on which are three brass buttons 1/2" wide, and bound buttonholes. Long sleeves with 1-1/2" cuffs and one matching button per sleeve. Band collar has 10" tie ends and L-shaped lapel. Unlined.
Cocktail dress of yellow and orange silk chiffon. Fitted bodice of horizontal, loosely pleated yellow chiffon has two orange, horizontal stripes at waist and above. Double, spaghetti style shoulder straps. Inner support with boning and petersham. Skirt is composed of under layers coral pink and yellow silk and outer layers of orange and yellow chiffon, creating a full appearance. Mid-length; zip-back and hook & eye closure. Retailer's label at left side seam: "Neiman-Marcus"
Hat of brown fur and leather. The cylindrical light brown leather crown is encircled by large open circular band of brown fur (mink?) oriented to create diagonal stripes. At base of crown is band of same leather, tied into flat bow at back with trailing ends. Lined in reddish/brown lace, and with two small combs to secure to wearer's head. No labels in hat.
Pillbox of navy blue velvet. The low, cylindrical crown is flattened at top, and surrounded by gathers of same cloth "banded" by vertical loops of dark blue satin braiding creating two horizontal bands. Hat is lined in dark blue netting, and was designed with two small combs to help secure it to wearer's head, one now missing. Retailer's label inside: "Harold's / Minneapolis".
Mules of red leather. The backless shoes are designed with pointed toe, squared at tip, and with rounded vamp. At top of vamp on each shoe is a large flattened sphere of same leather. Platform/sole of white leather. The low, set-in heels taper to base, and are covered in same red leather. Stamped on insole: "Hand made in Spain / Simorettes / World famous kid" Stamped on sole: "8 1/2"; "N"
Hat of gathered white net with small white flowers. Appearing somewhat as a turban, the hat has a conical crown of stiff netting which is completely surrounded by masses of gathered tulle net forming a dense "cloud", into which are placed tiny artificial white fabric daisies on small stems. Lined in a stiff patterned net edged with gold and cream braid. Sewn to inner braid is designer label: "Styled by / Jack McConnell / New York". With a pearl-headed hatpin.
Hat of emerald green velvet and artificial flowers. The hat is styled somewhat as a calotte (also spelled "calot"), with velvet covered domed crown and slightly shaped front edge. The front and sides of the hat are covered in 6 large white silk and velvet roses; the back is covered with overlapping green artificial leaves. Overlaid with green net veil. Hat is lined in white mesh, with inner brown grosgrain ribbon hatband. No labels.
Day dress in beige pesanté silk. Bias band collar extending into tubular tie with open hemmed ends. Tie graduates for 1/2 inch at center back collar to 4-1/4 inch at ends. Three 1 inch self-covered round buttons at bodice front. Piped button holes and 13 inch hidden zipper below. Bracelet length dolman sleeves. Back yoke. Street length. Two 8-1/2 inch x 8 inch hip patch pockets. Unlined. Combined designer/retailer label at center back neckline: "Neiman-Marcus Dallas / Traina-Norell"
Calotte. The hat has a conical crown of stiffened green net overlaid with green straw woven/plaited loops and with attached artificial cherries and leaves. The calotte (also spelled "calot") has a thin green velvet trim along base of crown. Label sewn into inner edge of crown: "Styled by / Coralie", with "Finlan" written on edge of label. Behind the Coralie label is a Union label.
Hat of natural tan straw "lace". The low, domed crown is made of straw/fine wicker that has been worked as lace, in net and with various elements. At front the crown extends out in an undulating brim. Mounted at the base of the crown, on the front brim, is a large pink artificial rose with green leaves. Unlined, the hat has a black cord to help secure it to the wearer's head. Designer's label inside: "Paris / Molli / New York"
Hat of tightly coiled, finely braided metallic gold straw. The low domed crown is inset at top, and surrounded by a wreath of artificial flowers with green leaves and metallic gold 4-petal blossoms with pearl centers. From below the wreath extends light brown net veil. Narrow circular brim, rolled under and back to form its own lining/facing. Crown of hat is unlined, and has inner golden brown grosgrain ribbon hatband and elastic cord to help secure to wearer's head. Label inside: "Regalle"
Evening gown of tobacco brown floral embroidered tulle embellished with sequins. Tulip or "mermaid" style full-length gown has spaghetti straps trimmed in single row of sequins and structured bodice. Empire waist. Center back zipper. Silk lining/attached slip. Cream grosgrain ribbon petersham at empire waist with two hook & eye closures. Stiffened at hem with matching tulle netting and horizontal bands of horsehair. Single label in gown with retailer and designer: "Neiman-Marcus Dallas / Traina-Norell", with "Dallas" in lower case.
Hat of dark taupe velvet and artificial flowers. Built on a framework of velvet covered wire and stiffened lace, the hat is styled somewhat as a calotte (also spelled "calot"), with domed crown and shaped front edge. The front, right side, and part of the back are covered with a mass of small artificial flowers (violets?) and leaves of various colors of plush. The rest of the sides and top of the crown are covered in the dark taupe velvet, in folds and drapes suggesting a turban. Hat is unlined, allowing stiffened lace/mesh under-structure to be seen. No labels.
Pillbox style hat of pink silk gabardine. Four horizontal pleats around front of brim form zigzag folds at sides. Slightly rounded top. Center back has hanging tab ending in tie bow of self. 2-1/4'' deep crown CF; 3 1/2'' deep CB. Lined in white silk with pink grosgrain ribbon inner headband. Two combs at sides for securing hat to wearer's head. Maker's label hand embroidered on inside crown: "Jo Bailey Hats"
Hat of sherry black straw (artificial?). Crown is flat-topped and cylindrical. The brim is turned up against the sides of the crown, and has a textured black vinyl bow applied at front. The hat is unlined, with a black grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. Designer's label: "Gladys & Belle / 20 West 57th St. New York"
Calotte of black straw and black velvet. The calotte (also spelled "calot") has a low, domed black velvet crown overlaid with a "pinwheel" made of large woven black straw triangles. Hatlet of deep red satin. The close, curved crown is formed as a band that is worn across the wearer's head from ear to ear. The band is edged with a wide band of narrow pleated deep red satin, with ends that extend beyond the crown, forming crossed ends at sides. Lined in the same deep red satin, and with a deep red grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. Designer's label: "Amy New York"
Hat of off-white straw embroidery. The hat is styled as a calotte (also spelled "calot") with shaped close crown of off-white straw embroidered with several rosettes of straw, connected by a field of straw. The shaped outer edge is wound with the same straw. The hat is unlined, allowing the underlying mesh to be seen. Retailer's label: "Neiman-Marcus" and origin label "Made In Italy".

Tab at top of jacket under neck extends two inches past center and buttons on left side with two round buttons. Jacket center opening has one hook at center and one button at waist. Full-length sleeves made in one piece with jacket front and back. Gusset under arm for ease of movement. Right sleeve is decorated with blue and grey stripe pattern which extends up sleeve and across onto tab. Vertical stripe starts from back waist and runs down front, forming plaid at shoulder and is gathered into a narrow band at waist. Stripe continues to hem of jacket and has fold of striped fabric coming from under band to form scarf-like effect. Back is made in 6 sections with plaid design at shoulder and stripes running horizontally and vertically and ending before the absolute center. Band at waist is continued on back right, but does not reach jacket center. Inside lined with blue silk.
