Adolescents’ Physical Activity and Depressive Symptoms: A Psychosocial Mechanism

Description: Article tests a hypothesized path model of Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) variables (i.e., attitude toward behavior, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, and intention) with physical activity (PA) and depressive symptoms. Comparing the Bayesian Unknown Change-Point Model and Simulation Modeling Analysis to Analyze Single Case Experimental Designs

Description: This article compares two simulation-driven approaches: Bayesian unknown change-point model (BUCP) and simulation modeling analysis (SMA) for three real datasets that exhibit “clear” immediacy, “unclear” immediacy, and delayed effects. In the final analysis, it is recommended that both visual and statistical analyses be conducted for a thorough analysis of SCEDs.
