Description: The problem of this research is to analyze the philosophy of the activity movement in the United States from a sociological point of view. Specifically, the purpose of the study is to discover whether or not the activity movement grew out of the social conditions of the times and was designed to meet the staggering problems of social development and reconstruction in America.

Description: This paper deals with certain phases of phototropic properties of two exceptional plants, the pertinent behavior of each being decidedly individualistic and in remarkable contrast to that of herbaceous plants in general. The prickly lettuce, Lactuca ludoviciana (Nutt.) DC. and the rosinweed, Silphium laciniatum L., two common Denton County, Texas, plants, have been selected for this study.

The two methods are the qualitative, that is, the degree of difficulty of the work assigned, and the quantitative, which means the amount of work done or the minimum-maximum assignment.

Description: The purpose of this study was to make a comparison of the relative mastery of mathematical vocabulary with skills in general problem solving between two groups of sixth and seventh grade arithmetic students. An effort was made to determine to what extent knowledge of the mathematical vocabulary influenced skills in general problem solving.

Seasonal Variations in Microflora of Four Denton County, Texas, Clay Soils

Description: This investigation has for its aim the confirmation of the correlation between soil moisture and the microflora of soils, and a lesser relation between the soil temperature and the microflora. The soils used in this study are typical clay soils of Denton County, Texas. The samples were taken from virgin pasture lands and analyses made monthly or semimonthly. The wide seasonal variation of temperature and rainfall afford a good opportunity for this study.

The activities of the minority group credited by the Governor with defeating "all efforts to finance social security" during the Forty-Sixth Legislature; 4. The explanation of Senate Joint Resolution 12; 5. The record, based on personal experience and the reported evidence, of the various groups and individuals working for the passage of Senate Joint Resolution 12.
