Description: This presentation discusses the PREMIS Event Service. The University of North Texas (UNT) Libraries has created a digital library infrastructure that is designed using the Curation Micro Services methodology for building repositories. Based on modular components designed for reuse and re-configuration the authors propose a general-purpose preservation event logging system using the PREMIS Event and Agent data model.

Appendix B: MetaArchive-SRB Transfer

Description: This is an appendix to the MetaArchive Final Report. This appendix document is a report on the status of a two-phase transfer test being carried out between the MetaArchive Cooperative and Chronopolis. These tests aim to demonstrate a proof-of-concept that the MetaArchive network may use Chronopolis's data grid preservation service as an exit strategy in the event that either MetaArchive or LOCKSS becomes unsustainable in the future.

Appendix D: LOCKSSBAGGER Tool

Description: This is an appendix to the MetaArchive Final Report. This appendix document describes tools. These tools are designed to facilitate the transfer of data contained within a number of LOCKSS archival units and packaged into bags. The bags are then transferred to the iRODS grid. The user has the option of creating and sending filled bags, or holey bags. The primary tools are written in Python, and make use of the iRODS command line utilities for data transfer.
