Description: This study was concerned with the development and testing of an instrument to measure levels of aesthetic judgement making. The review of evaluation methods for aesthetic judgement resulted in a two-part instrument. Severity of Handicap and Geographic Distance as Factors in Residential Placement of Handicapped Children

Description: For this investigation two types of observations used: Texas's private and public institutions that provide residential treatment to children severely handicapped and children served by those facilities. The overall result showed that the distance between the child's home and the treatment facility is great for public institutions than for private.

Room Temperature Gold-Vacuum-Gold Tunneling Experiments

Description: An experiment has been completed which demonstrated quantum mechanical tunneling of electrons between two gold electrodes separated in vacuum. The tunneling current between the gold electrodes has been measured, for fixed voltages of 0.1 and 0.01 volts, as the electrode spacing was varied from a distance of approximately 2.0 nm down to a point where the electrodes touched. National Monarchy and Norway, 1898-1905: a Study of the Establishment of the Modern Norwegian Monarchy

Description: The study then focuses on the Bernadotte candidacy as the practical expression of a Norwegian desire for a national monarchy. Reaction to the candidacy is analyzed and, although it proved unsuccessful, the strength of the idea is again evident when the government shifted its focus to the secondary candidacy of Denmark's Prince Carl. During the debate over the candidates for the throne, the underlying theme which developed was the question of Norway's form of government-- monarchy or republic.

The Effects of Progressive Relaxation Instructions on College Students' Performance on a Paired-Associate Learning Task

Description: The problem of this study was to compare performances of college students given relaxation instructions and those not given those instructions on a paired-associate learning task. The results indicated that relaxation instructions alone produced a decrement in recall. Description: This study examines rhythm, syntax, sound, and diction in selected early and late poems from Dylan Thomas's Collected Poems. It demonstrates, on the basis of stylistic evidence, that the later poetry is the greater achievement. The early and later poems are different in the area of rhythm.
