A Study of the Relationship between the Running Broad Jump and the Standing Broad Jump and of the Validity of the Three Trial Method

Description: The investigation proposes a comparative study to determine whether or not there is a relationship between the running broad jump and the standing broad jump based upon the results of the performances of two hundred and seventy girls enrolled in Jefferson Junior High School, Abilene, Texas, and to determine whether or not one of the three allowed performances consistently results in the greatest distance.

A Case Study of Union Organizing Strategies

The union that conducted the organizing drive was the International Ladies' Garment Worker's Union. Relationship of Mental Ability Levels to Reversal of Learning Sets by the Retarded

Description: Using postulations formulated by Harlow, very few investigators have experimented with discriminative learning in relation to various levels of human mental abilities to the pattern of forming a set. Characteristics of High School Girls which May Lead to Early Marriage

Description: The problem of this study was to isolate some of the characteristics of tenth-grade girls which may lead to early marriage. The characteristics studied were: sibling rank, influence of a broken home, parents* education and occupations, mental ability, aptitude, scholastic achievement, study habits and attitudes, and personal problems identified by the subjects. A further problem of the study was the effectiveness of each of the characteristics in predicting the marriage of high school girls.
