Description: The purpose of this study is three-fold; first, to make a census of the 1939-40 head football coaches in the AA high schools of Texas; second, to present facts that might be useful in the vocational and educational guidance of young men who contemplate a coaching career; and third, to preserve brief histories of the head coaches who aided in the formulation and execution of the AA high school football program in Texas during 1939-40.
