Description: In undertaking this study the investigator had the following purposes: 1. To determine the percentage of the college women of the study who are cigarette smokers. 2. To determine the percentage of the college men of the study who are cigarette smokers. 3. To determine the carious habits of the students who participated in the study in regard to cigarette smoking. 4. To determine the students' reasons for smoking cigarettes. 5. To determine the opinions and attitudes of the students of the study in regard to cigarette smoking. 6. To compare the women students with the men students of the study in regard to cigarette smoking on the basis of the data obtained.

A Comparison of Performance on Four Gross Motor Skill Tests of Dyslexic and Non-Dyslexic Boys Aged Nine through Twelve

Description: The primary purpose of this study was to compare performance on selected gross motor skills of elementary school-aged children diagnosed as dyslexic and a similar group of school-aged children who are identified as non-dyslexic. A secondary purpose of the study will be to compare performance within the dyslexic group according to the severity of the affliction.

Description: The study is an evaluation of the physical education programs of ninety-one elementary Negro schools of Texas. The following purposes were established for the study: 1) to obtain information concerning the administration, conduct, and scope of physical education programs in Negro elementary schools of Texas; 2) to evaluate the physical education programs of selected Negro elementary schools of Texas on the basis of criteria such as Texas Education Association and documentary sources; and 3) to make recommendations for future development of the physical education programs in the Negro elementary schools of Texas.
