Sunset View from My Window

Description: The horizontally oriented work of art consists of three vertical panels. Each panel depicts space through a series of gradated horizontally running lines and stripes. Moving from the foreground to the background are white ribbon shapes.

[tie-dyeing in a tall vertical artwork]

Description: This long vertical work consists of a tie dyed or shibori method of screen printing. The imagery in the top portion of the work is a large red circle floating on an orange colored ground. The bottom portion of the work is a purple with many dark streaks running horizontally and a large light purple wave shape moves from the bottom edge of the work towards the top.

Description: The vertical artwork consists of two long vertical panels with horizontal stripes that do not match between panels. Floating wave or cloud like shapes overlap and float between both panels. The colors gradate from pink to dark blue and the ribbon like wave shapes gradate from dull pink to blue.

Description: The vertical two panel artwork depicts horizontal stripes in gradations of blues and pinks. Floating across the two panels is a long wave shape that moves vertically and is an orange pink color. A ribbon like form floats across the two panels and is blue and purple.

Description: Tie-dyed cotton tapes hang in front of dyed fabric. The colors are warm and cool and gradate simultaneously from side to side and top to bottom. The piece is striped vertically with some angled from high left to low right in a paler version of the underneath hue.

Description: Underlying horizontal dyed silk with depictions of rolling waves receding into the distance with bird-like ribbons above and in the foreground a framed section of the sea at opposing angle.

Whereabouts of Clouds

Description: The horizontally oriented artwork depicts a series of ribbon like forms moving from the foreground and lower edge of the work into the distance and the top edge of the work. The sky is a light pink color and the ribbon forms gradate from dark to light blue-greens.

Wind

Description: The work depicts a landscape sort of space with a striated mountainous shape on the left side of the work and at the bottom of the mountain are some white ripples of water. On the right side of the work are two white shapes, resembling the sheets of floating paper, may depict snow covered mountains. Floating down through the sky are several white shapes that appear to be sheets of paper. Some very think ribbons float horizontally through the space.

Empty

Description: Image of still life painting that consists of an empty beer bottle and glass on a table with a couch in the background. Remote controls on the coffee table are in the bottom left of the painting. The style is realistic and the colors subdued. The painting was included in an exhibition in the Lightwell Gallery, Art Building in October, 2012.

The Mask

Description: Image of painting that consists of a portrait of a masked man, seated with his arm resting on a table. The horned mask is red with some black expressive marks. Behind the man is the back side of a stretched canvas. This painting was shown in the senior level painting exhibit in the Lightwell Gallery at University of North Texas in October of 2012.
