Description: This article discusses Schenker's attitude toward sequences alongside the atittudes of Schenkerian theorists, as well as the author's own thoughts about sequences, and uses examples from the first movement of Mozart's Piano Sonata in F and the development section of Scarlatti's Sonata in E major.
