A Descriptive Comparison of the Values for Living Test and the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory

Description: The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between the Values for Living Test and the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory. The values systems (Tribalistic, Egocentric, Absolutistic, Achievistic, Sociocentric, and Individualistic) based on the "Levels of Psychological Existence," developed by Clare W. A Semantic Analysis of the Symbolic and Non-Symbolic Functioning of Certain Taboo Terms Used in Three Contemporary Films

Description: This thesis examines four taboo words (Jesus, God, fuck, ass) used in the films Jaws, Shampoo, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. The dominant method of research is semantic, drawing on language theories of I.A. Richards and Alfred Korzybski. An Application of Small-Group Methods to Judicial Decision Making by the Nixon Court

Description: This study isolates the impact of certain factors upon the decision making of the United States Supreme Court. Selected group theory methodology is applied to the Court's decisions from 1969 through 1973. Description: This interpretative study attempts to ascertain why the Nazi movement gained the support of German voters by examining its persuasive strategies. Description: This rhetorical thesis analyzes Richard M. Weaver's theories of rhetoric and his methodology for ranking argument types according to their perceived ethicality. Two keynote speeches by former U. S. Representative Barbara Jordan have been subjected to the Weaverian analysis. Effects of Gender and Self-Monitoring on Observer Accuracy in Decoding Affect Displays

Description: This study examined gender and self-monitoring as separate and interacting variables predicting judgmental accuracy on the part of observers of facial expressions of emotional categories.
