The Effect of Chlorpromazine on Avoidance Learning in Rats

Description: In this experiment it was hypothesized the (a) those organisms trained under the influence of chlorpromazine will perform a learned task (when tested) with more incorrect responses than a comparable group trained under "normal" conditions; (b) those organisms tested under the influence of chlorpromazine will perform a previously learned task with more incorrect responses than a comparable group of organisms tested under "normal" conditions.

The Effect of Induced Motivation on the I.Q. Scores of Negro Children

Description: The purpose of the present study was to further investigate the effects of motivation on the intellectual attainment of Negro children. In view of previous research and realizing the importance of related study on inventive and achievement, the following hypothesis was proposed: Inducement of motivation between pre-and post-administrations of Form A of the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test would result in significantly greater magnitude of change in scores for the experimental group of Negro children than for the control group.

Description: The purposeof this study is to determine the effect of the socio-economic status of the homes of sixth-grade pupils on their arithmatic attainment. It also aims to point out the effect of social and economic factors of home environment on each of the four arithmatical abilities through a critical analysis and interpretation of the data.

The Effect of the Specific Teaching of Mathematical Concepts in Second Year Algebra

Description: The purpose of this study was to correlate the Vegetation of the Woodbine Sands with the edaphic factors. In the laboratory an analysis of the edephic factors was made of the twenty-two soil types collected from the three formations. The results of these and other analysis are shown in tables and graphs. The results indicate that the vegetational cover of an area that is uniform in its origin and in its resident soil factors is determined by the edaphic factors present.

Issues faced by adminitation and teachers in three examined elementary schools provide information about the implementation of a plan focused on the particular needs of children in the community.

An Evaluation of the Hebron School, Hebron, Texas

Description: This thesis presents the results of an examination of the Hebron, Texas public schools. Specific criteria, such as home life and socioeconomic background, were used to consider the abilities and needs of students. The resulting information made it possible to determine the ability of schools to impact the lives of students.
