Preferences Shown by One Hundred Children in Each of the First, Third, and Fifth Grades of the Gladewater, Texas, Elementary School in Illustrating Six Types of Nature Poems
This thesis indicates the nature poetry preferences of fifth grade elementary school children. Data gathered helped determine the preferred aspect of nature and choices of girls compared to boys.

"This study consists of two phases: (1) as study of existing financial conditions of the public schools of Hill county based on assessed valuations, tax rates, expenses per scholastic, and investments per scholastic in bond and capital outlay, and (2) a proposed plan for equalizing the existing inequalities..the study includes all of the 82 public schools of Hill County,Texas. The study includes 63 common school districts, 4 independent districts under county supervision, 2 rural high schools, and 13 independent districts. A Quantitative Chemical Analysis of the Hicoria Pecan Nut Kernel
This thesis explores the Hicoria genus and focuses on the Stuart variety of pecan tree. Experimentation yielded the ash constituents, fats, fat constants, crude fiber, protein, and sugar in shelled pecan samples.
Quantitative Chemical Analysis of the Soils of Erath County, Texas
A chemical analysis of representative samples of Windthorst sand, Denton sand, and Denton clay has been made, and this analysis shows that their composition has a strict correlation with respect to their geological origins. The analyses of the different soils have shown the Windthorst sand to be highly deficient in all of the essential elements, whereas the Denton sand is deficient in only one; namely, phosphorus. The analysis of the Denton clay showed it to be highly fertile. From the consideration of the pH and the lime content, it has been determined to some extent what crops will grow in each of the soils.
A Quantitative Chemical Examination of Surface Well Water from the Three Principal Geological Divisions of Denton County
A sample of the surface-well water was taken from an area of the predominating soil of each of the three geological regions of Denton County, Texas, and a chemical analysis of each sample was made. This thesis deals with the area from which the samples were taken, the methods of analysis used, and the results of the analysis.

The purpose of this study is to determine the amounts of the element sulfur, phosphorus, sodium, potassium, silicon, iron, aluminium, calcium, magnessium, and manganess found in the roots, hearts, sap, leaves, and bark of two plants, the short leaf pine and the blackjack oak.
The Rate of Natural Fermentation of Various Solutions with Regard to Temperature
The purpose of this study is to investigate the rate of natural fermentation of solutions at different temperatures. Whatever microorganisms that chanced to be present in the air and that chanced to fall into the inoculating medium are the ones which brought about fermentation when transferred to the fermentable solution.

A Study of Plankton Dilution in Source Streams Compared with that of Lake Dallas Proper
This study was a comparative study of Plankton of Lake Dallas and the three main source streams. Based on the analysis of data, which was presented relative to the organisms taken from the lake and from the source streams, the results obtained are discussed, the Plankton seem to be largely autogenetic in Lake Dallas, the source streams Elm Fork and Clear Creek form a dilution process.
A Study of Soil Erosion and its Control in the United States with Special Reference to Texas
A study of soil erosion in the United States, especially in Texas, which brings attention to the causes of soil erosion under the existing system of farm management. The material gathered and compiled and arranged under certail main heading. Two chapters deal with present and immediate causes of erosions and their results. One full chapter takes up the history of the conservation movement and attempts to show how slow Texans have been in comparison with some of the other states of the United States. The study calls for further research, teaching of better land-use, raising awareness of soil erosion causes and conditions.
A Study of Some of the Factors Influencing the Achievement of Elementary School Children in Denton County
"There are many factors that influence the achievement of school children; however it is rather difficult to determine the effect of each because of the close relationship and probable overlapping of the various factors. The problem in this study is to determine what effect the size of the school, training and qualifications of the teachers, and sex have upon the achievement of elementary school children in Denton County. A Study of the Arthurian Legends as Treated by Tennyson, Arnold, and Robinson
In studying the early history of the legends, the author have found that it could be divided into three periods: 1) the period of origins, 2) the period of literary creation, and 3) the period of translation and adaptation. The last period may be said to have never reached a conclusion, for writers of many nations are still finding in the ancient legends material for poem and song.
