Immobilized boronates were evaluated for studies of adenine nucleotide metabolism. These studies were performed using Affi-gel 601, a commercial boronate gel, and dihydroxyboryl Sepharose and dihydroxyboryl-Bio Rex which were synthesized in the laboratory. The studies performed included the determination of the relative binding affinity of a variety of adenine containing compounds for the three immobilized boronates under differing chromatographic conditions.

Brain-Reactive Antibodies: Molecular Specificity and Relationship to Biological Aging
Brain-reactive antibodies (BRA) increase in frequency with age in several mammalian species and may be involved in the pathogenesis of age-related dementia. In this experiment, the molecular specificity of BRA in mouse sera was determined using an immunoblot assay, and the relationship of BRA to longevity was studied by comparing the rate of formation of specific BRAs in diet restricted C57BL/6NNia, B6D2F1/NNia, and DBA/2NNia, genotypes which differ markedly in life-span.
Studies of Pigment-Lipid-Protein Complexes Isolated from the Cell Membrane of Xanthomonas Juglandis (Campestris)
Separation of the pigment-lipid esters of Xanthomonas juglandis (campestris) in a silica gel G:celite 545 column yielded 4 bands. Two of these bands, ester #1 and #2, make up over 95% of the mixture. Analysis of the four pigments indicate that three are phospholipids and that the phosphate accounts for about 3-4% of the weight of each of the two major esters.
Effectiveness of microcounseling as a supervisory model for teaching interviewing skills
This study dealt with the problem of training selected basic interviewing skills to beginning counselors. The purposes of this investigation were 1) to assess the effectiveness of microcounseling for training the skills of open-ended questioning and verbal minimal encouraging; 2) to assess the influence of microcounseling on counselor verbal participation; 3) to determine whether training in these skills via the microcounseling model will generalize to the actual counseling setting and be maintained over time; and, 4) to determine whether microcounseling is a practical method of teaching therapy skills to practicum students.

Allegro For Orchestra In C Minor
The composer has earnestly sought to capture in this work, Allegra for Orchestra in C minor, the clarity and simplicity that is commonly associated with works of the Classic Period of musical composition. He has tried to accomplish this by making use of musical composition. He has tried to accomplish this by making use of present day approaches toward musical composition, yet trying to delete the cleverness, the bizarre effects, and the trite pomposity that one finds so prevalent in much of the music that has been written since the beginning of the twentieth century. This effort toward simplicity extends to form, harmonic content, texture, and instrumentation.
