Certain Procedures for the Improvement of Reading Skills in the Middle Grades
The problem of this study was to demonstrate the effectiveness of certain recommended procedures for the improvement of reading skills in one fourth grade and one fifth grade class in the Jacksboro Elementary School. The purpose was to discover through testing and observation the level of each student and his specific reading needs.
Improving Reading in a Third Grade
The purpose of this study is to determine and evaluate a third grade reading program that will increase the individual child's reading ability and will stimulate maximum progress during a period of nine months. It is believed that through the development of this program a larger number of the children in this particular group will be able to make the transition from the primary type of reading to the intermediate level at the end of their third year in school.
A Physical Education Program for the Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Grade Boys in the Elementary School of Jacksboro, Texas
The problem is to prepare and administer a physical education program for the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade boys in the elementary school of Jacksboro, Texas. The need for this study developed after the investigator had studied the few activities in which the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade boys in the elementary school of Jacksboro, Texas, were participating. It is the aim of the investigator to construct a physical education program that will give more boys an opportunity to participate in desirable activities.
