Cloche

Description: Cloche hat of black silk velvet. The rigid crown has a flattened top, and sides formed of gathers of the velvet forming horizontal ridges. The brim is a soft, gathered and padded "ruffle" of the same velvet. The hat is lined in a black satin. Sewn inside crown is retailer's label: "Neiman-Marcus Co. / Dallas New York".

Cloche hat

Description: Cloche hat of blue-green velvet. An early example of the cloche hat, it has a narrow up-turned brim. All around the crown is floral decoration carried out in beading, appliqué, and embroidery with thin lines of gold thread sewn throughout. The edges of the brim are similarly decorated. Remains of silk lining. No labels. Measurements: 24 cm across at longest point; 22.5 cm across on narrow side; 15 cm high from base of brim to top of crown.

Clutch coat

Description: Coat of black plush velour; trimmed with appliqué cashmere/paisley patterned fabric. Bell sleeves; full length; large rounded shawl collar. Red, multi-colored trim on cuffs.

Overblouse

Description: Overblouse of white crochet lace edged with pink linen. Square neckline. Sleeveless. "Tabbard" style, open at sides. Center front and back vertical bands of pink linen with six decorative lace covered buttons on each panel. Fastens at upper left shoulder. Note: Shoulder fastenings lacking - held together with safety pins.

Purse

Description: Handbag of black silk faille with multicolored floral embroidery. Purse has round, gold frame in leaf motif and plunger closure. Gold chain handle. Peach lining with pocket. Retailer's label: " Sanger Bros. Inc. / Paris - France" Label above pocket in side of purse: "Made in France"
