Beach Shoes

Description: Beach shoes of tan rope and red, white, and blue knitted cotton(?). Designed as thick-soled espadrilles with coiled rope soles and rounded toes, the toe-box and heel section are of knitted cotton(?) in red, white, and blue patterns of squares and zig-zags on bands of color. From instep to sides of heel are tied red silk(?) cords.

Choker

Description: Choker of satin and feathers. Neck band of 1 1/2" double faced black satin ribbon with double hooks at ends. At center is rosette of hackle and guinea feathers in black, brownish, and white spots. Tag sewn to one end of ribbon stating "Made in France", Style/model "Uo 28", color "Black, and other notes that are illegible. Made to go with an evening dress by Ungaro.

Cloche and Scarf Set

Description: Cloche hat of embroidered pink linen. The slightly domed crown is made of pink linen with all-over tiny white embroidered polka-dots. The matching brim is turned up at front, sewn to crown, and descends at sides, turning downwards at back. At center back the brim is split, with a bow of the same fabric affixed at the split. The hat is lined with white silk. There are no labels or tags in the hat. The hat is accompanied by a necktie/scarf of the same fabric. Original records indicate the set is probably French in origin.

Description: Cocktail ensemble of silver (pale lavender?) heavy faille moire consisting of: A) Cocktail dress. 3/4 length. Sleeveless with thin straps. Shallow V-neck. Natural waist with a bias cut, 1-1/4" set-in waistband between skirt and bodice trimmed with a center, non-functioning gray plastic button. Fitted bust with gores at bust and under-arm. Inverted pleats at front and back center. Center back zipper closure with hook & eye closure at base of bodice. Cream satin lining in bust which descends to become sheath inside skirt. Description: Three piece cocktail suit of black quilted silk damask consisting of: Sleeveless tunic overdress, knee-length, constructed as an "apron", with back opening which overlaps and secures with three covered buttons. Dress is sleeveless, with rounded neckline, slightly raised waist, princess seaming, and skirt which is slightly flaring at hips and then becoming tubular. Underskirt skirt, with wide hem of the same damask which extends 8 inches below hem of dress, creating a layered look. Description: Evening dress of orange/tangerine silk chiffon with cut velvet fish scale design in silvery white partly outlined with silver bugle beads. Sleeveless, with round scoop neck, and armholes cut to waist. Straight tubular shape with drop waist, with a swag of pleated self-fabric at left hip, trimmed with five rhinestone medallions. 1" fur trim at hem. Dress has been shortened and fur may have been added at that time. Probably originally 1918-20's style.

Dress

Description: Child’s "Flower Girl" dress made from pieces of Irish lace. Knee-length, the dress has a round neckline and short sleeves which are slit along the lower 7 1/2" of length. The lower part is slightly A-line with scalloped lower edge, and has one horizontal section mid-way between waist and hem made to have a ribbon threaded through. The center back opening has a 7 1/2" slit at neckline, and a single snap closure.
