Description: Hatlet of black feathers. Designed on a stiffened base, the hatlet forms a band across head from side to side, shaped as curled wings, overlaid with black feathers. Lined in black stiff net, with a black grosgrain inner edging. Designer's label: "Hattie Carnegie"

Hat

Description: Hat of light brown felt and black voile. The domed crown is of light brown felt, curving slightly and extending outwards at front. Mounted at front is a large leaf-shape of fine black voile with black thread veining and wired edge. The leaf from is sculptural, with the wired edge curved and bent. At side of leaf is a spray of yellow feathers and black ribbon. Hat is unlined, with inner light brown grosgrain ribbon hatband. Hatlet

Description: Hatlet of navy blue felt and feathers. The low, oval, domed crown is made of spaced strips of navy blue felt arranged as concentric circles, secured to cross-strips, and with a knotwork interweaving at the back into which are secured a spray of dark blue feathers. The hat is unlined, with a dark blue grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. Designer's label: "Emme / Inc. / 21 East 56th Street / New York"

Pumps

Description: Pumps of red-orange leather. The shoes have a squared toe, a very wide "Mary-Jane" style strap over the instep which fastens with an over-sized rectangular gold buckle on outside of foot, and a modified "bell bottom" or Louis style 2 3/4" heel. Hat

Description: Hat of sequins and feathers. Styled somewhat as a bowler, the base of the hat is of a stiffened net, the oval, low crown domed and covered with layered, curved strings of black sequins. The brim is of the same construction, turned slightly down, and with a slight "wave" along the sides and back. At side is a large pouf of gray/black ostrich feathers. Lined in black, with a black grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. Designer's label: "Emme / Inc. / 21 East 56th Street / New York"

Hatlet

Description: Hatlet of green velvet. The low, domed crown is encircled by a wide band of pleated green velvet bands, a large green velvet bow, and five clusters of magenta velvet strawberries with green velvet leaves. The hat is lined in the same green velvet, and has two small faux tortoise shell combs inside to help secure to wearer's head. Designer's label: "Emme"

Description: Hat of natural straw and yellow/orange netting. The high domed crown is encircled by layers of pleated orange/yellow netting, secured with a single wide vertical band. The whole is overlaid with a wide mesh net of same orange yellow. Round base of crown is a narrow band of matching velvet, with bow and trailing ribbon. Very narrow brim, angled downwards, of same woven straw. Hat is unlined, with inner hatband of yellow/orange grosgrain ribbon. Union label Size label

Description: Pair of women's shoes of black patent leather. Designed with square toes, the vamp has an applied large square of black patent leather crossed vertically by a narrow band of red leather set off-center to right side of wearer. "Kitten" heel 1 1/2" high formed as a silver rectangle with horizontal black band and vertical red band. Designer's label inset int sole: "Davis by Ruthie Davis" Designer's monogram impressed in sole, two facing "D"s Impressed in sole: Outline of hide inscribed "Vero Cuoio"; "Designed in / New York / Made in Italy / 6"

Dress

Description: Dress of dark red silk. Full length; empire waist; v-neck with detail stitching; darker red rough silk weave inserts at shoulders and extending from sides to back; sleeveless; low back has partially attached fabric drape; back has curved seams with triangular openings that reveal red iridescent silk taffeta lining; center back zipper. Designer's label inside: "Chado / Ralph Rucci" Content label inside: "100% / Silk"

Hat

Description: Hat of brown-red cotton blend with 2 rosettes of dark cream fabric accented with purple ribbon and fringe of blue and green felt on each side. Hat has a close fitting cap-like shape with 2 triangular wing-like extensions extending up from each side. Within the hat is a thin, elastic cord which goes around the back of the head to hold the hat in place.

Platform Pumps

Description: Pair of platform pumps of orange/brown suede. The toebox, and entire upper of the shoes are of orange/brown suede, with a tongue attached at each side to the rest of the toebox by a band of elastic. The toebox rests on a thick platform covered with the same suede. The thick, chunky heel is also covered with the same suede. Stamped in gold inside shoe: "Back Street"

Bowling Shoes

Description: Shoes of red, white, and blue leather. The shoes are designed as flats, with rounded toes. Toebox and tongue of red leather, the sides are of blue leather, and the heel and uppers are edged in wide bands of white. The shoes lace up the instep, with five holes. Believed to be bowling shoes.

Hatlet

Description: Hatlet of brown velvet. The open-crown hat is formed of a hollow square with down-turned sides and corners, covered in brown velvet and edged in tiny pearls. "Flying" around the hat are 8 golden stamped metal hummingbirds. One wing of each bird is hinged, allowing movement of the birds as the wearer moves their head. Over all is a brown net veil "capturing" the hummingbirds, with scattered gathers of 4 pearls. The underside is edged in brown grosgrain ribbon, and has two small plastic combs attached to secure hatlet to wearer's head. Sewn onto the inner ribbon is maker's label: "Bes-Ben / Made in Chicago". Also sewn onto inner ribbon is hand-written label "917".
