Evening ensemble. a) Evening gown of black crepe. Strapless; full length with empire waist and bodice of pink silk crepe. Straight line silhouette. Bodice forms V at center back narrowing into pleats at closure with petal-shaped fold of black crepe which covers back of bodice and snaps below waistline. Center back zipper. Bodice has attached black corset with boning with separate zipper and cups of black lace. Unlined. b)Vest of black crepe. Sleeveless with jewel neckline. Cropped length at front and elongating to tails at sides and back. Center back opening with single hook & eye closure at neckline.

Pamela/halo hat of royal blue felt. The high, cylindrical crown is slightly domed at top, and is encircled by the wide brim, which is upturned almost to vertical, forming a "wall" around the crown. The hat is unlined, with a dark blue inner grosgrain ribbon headband, and small attached comb to help secure hat to wearer's head. Designer's label: "Balenciaga / 10, Avenue George V. Paris"
Calotte of beaded black satin. Evening hat in the form of a calotte (also spelled "calot"). The low, domed crown is made of segments of black satin over a core of woven straw. The surface is embellished with black plastic sequins and beads of various sizes. At top of crown is small squashed spheroid finial covered with a pattern of cylindrical and circular faceted black plastic beads. Inside lower edge of crown is black grosgrain ribbon band. Sewn behind band are three elastic loops to help secure hat to head of wearer. No labels.

Short sleeves, seam at waist, gore styling. Four circular navy plastic buttons down front. Two snap closure belt loops at left and right. Has white starched, glazed, gardenia of linen attached to left front. Unlined. b) Narrow belt of navy leather with long rectangular buckle of same. One punched hole. Back has two sewn on loops to be attached to snap closure belt loops on dress.
Two-piece dress of black silk with black double satin 3" wide tie belt. a) Overblouse has weighted yolk neckline and gathers below. Sleeveless. Snaps up center front. Unlined b) Below knee-length tubular skirt with narrow waistband. Hook & eye closure over concealed zipper. c) Tie belt of 3" wide black satin with frayed ends.
Three piece cocktail suit of black quilted silk damask. a) Sleeveless tunic overdress in a sheath style that overlaps in back with three covered buttons at center back. b) Matching skirt that hangs 8 inches below dress. c) Matching jacket with bermuda collar. "Homage to Picasso" commemorative shoe designed by André Perugia under the Charles Jourdan label. Shoe heel and bed of heel is made up of two angular pieces that are light and dark gray leather. Heel lining of black suede. Leather ankle strap closes with a screw having a metal triangle tip. Toe has plastic foot appliqué with red leather strap going over toes. Metal shank stamped "Charles Jourdan" connects heel and toe sections. On bottom of shoe: "Chaussure A.
