Styled as a modified calotte (also spelled "calot"), the hat has a low domed crown and narrow rolled brim with extends slightly more in front to form a "visor" shape. Description: Pillbox hat of black cotton(?). The cylindrical crown is mostly flattened at top, with diamond-shaped patches of same fabric attached at sides, overlapping top and bottom.
