Dress
Dress of polychrome cotton print. The floor-length dress is of cotton fabric with a raised "zig-zag" texture, in the style of cotton piqué weaving. It is printed with a series of horizontal bands in geometric designs in blues, reds, greens, tan/brown, orange, and purple. The sleeveless dress has a shallow boat neckline in front and deep squared-off neckline at back. The fitted bodice section ends at the natural waist, into which the long skirt is slightly gathered. The front of the skirt has two patch pockets of the same material, with the print matched to disguise the pockets. One of the lower bands of the skirt is embellished with applied non-functional circular gold-colored "buttons". The hem of the dress has a 7 cm. wide band horizontal band of red wool trim, from which hangs red wool fringe. The center back zipper closure has a single hook-and-eye at top. The dress is lined in red fabric. The dress has two labels sewn inside. At left side at seam is designer's label "Lanvin / Paris New York"; at right side near zipper is size label "6".
Ensemble - Dress and Coat
Dress and coat of peacock feathers. The short, sleeveless dress is entirely covered with peacock breast feathers, accented with a 1" band of blue cording and chenille trim at neckline and with blue cord spaghetti straps. It is fully lined with navy polyester. The long, sleeveless coat is covered with peacock herl / flue feathers. It has a round neckline, and no closure. These pieces are part of a larger ensemble, consisting of a total of 9 pieces decorated with peacock and/or golden pheasant feathers. Worn to the Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, California, April 1976.
Ensemble - Jacket, Skirt and Blouse
Suit in hot pink nubbly wool knit. The ensemble consists of three pieces: a jacket, matching skirt, and black silk shell. The jacket is hip-length, with a shawl collar which has an attached black silk tie. The center front closure has 6 circular brass buttons with central embossed lion's heads and black outer edges. There are four faux flap pockets at front, two on each side of opening, each with button matching those of the closure. The long sleeves have simulated closure, with a line of three buttons matching others on each sleeve. The pocket flaps, cuffs, collar, center front, and hem are all edged in black. Designer's label sewn inside jacket at collar: "Adolfo / New York", with retailer's label sewn in just below: "Neiman-Marcus". The matching skirt is below-knee length, of the same pink wool knit, with pleating beginning 7" below waistband and extending to hem. Skirt has designer's label sewn inside at waistband as jacket. The accompanying black silk blouse is sleeveless, with rounded neckline. Single black silk -covered button closure at back of neck. Shell has designer's label sewn inside at left of closure as jacket.
T-Shirt - Che Guevara
T-shirt of white cotton, having short sleeves and a rounded neckline, which is printed with an artistic rendering of a portrait of Che Guevara, arranged as large main central portrait in black, surrounded by four smaller renditions in pale gray. Acquired by the donor in Mexico City in 1971 from a vendor in the Mexico City Metro. Ernesto "Che" Guevara (b. June 14, 1928 in Rosario, Argentina - d. La Higuera, Bolivia, October 9, 1967) commonly known as El Che or simply Che, was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, intellectual, guerrilla leader, diplomat, military theorist, and major figure of the Cuban Revolution.
Dress
Dress of navy blue silk chiffon. The full-length dress is sleeveless, with narrow straps extending across shoulders and meeting at center of the 2 1/2" wide A-line band at neckline. The straps and neckline band are covered with faux jewels. From the band drops the long A-line skirt of finely-pleated silk chiffon, which conceals a narrow sheath dress underneath. This dress is similar in style to one produced for Halley's 1967 collection.
Ensemble - Vest and Pants
Ensemble consisting of a vest and pants. The vest is of wool,with a scoop-neck and with 5 hook-and-eye closures down center front. It is covered in sewn-on black sequins, and has a 1" border of orange, white and gold beads with gold trim at neckline, front opening, hem, and armholes. On the front and back of the vest are 3" diamond shapes formed of the same beads. The white and orange beads are plastic. The vest is fully lined in black fabric. Labels in vest: "Valentina LTD / RN 34435 / Made in Hong Kong"; "100% Wool / Made in Hong Kong"; and "Medium". The pants are formed as a divided skirt of black wool in a satin weave simulating crepe-back satin. They are floor length, with full-length accordion pleats. There is a wide 3" waistband that is completely beaded to match the vest. The pants have a center back zipper closure with hook-and-eye at waistband, and are unlined. Inside the pants is a single tag at waistband: "Lot Number 11/12".
Dress
Evening dress of pale yellow silk chiffon with bead detailing. V-neckline in front creating the halter, with pieces draped from halter down and out to sides. The entire bodice is finely pleated and gathered, and has beaded panels which creates an empire waist. The beaded panels vary from narrow at center front to wide at sides, and meet at center back. The beading is white and silver beaded horizontal stripes on a mauve background. The skirt is formed by the chiffon being gathered into the beaded panels in many layers and falling to the floor. Dress has a matching lining and has a zipper down center back with hook-and-eye closures at top of zipper and at halter. Label in gown: "Victoria Royal Ltd. / Made In / British Crown Colony / of / Hong Kong".

Dress with bodice of dress is made of chiffon with printed pattern of pink, red, green, blue, and purple swirls and bands and stylized foliage, woven with gold metallic threads forming paisley designs throughout bodice. Slight standing ring collar. The collar, waistband, cuffs, and bands running from collar along shoulders and down to cuffs are all trimmed with wide bands of gold braid/cording. The knee-length skirt is of red velour printed with large floral pattern in pink, purple, yellow, and dark maroon/brown. Reverse box pleat at center front, and zipper closure along back of garment, with three large gilt filigree buttons at collar. Cuffs also have 3 gilt buttons on each, with hidden snap closure. Dress is lined in pink fabric. Designer's label sewn inside bodice: "Ronald Amey / New York".

Dress of printed cotton. The floor-length dress is of cotton with a printed geometric design of a lattice of black rectangles on white background. It is sleeveless, with black spaghetti straps. There is a wide black "belt" of "quilted" cotton just below the bust, with a bow in front. The dress has a center back zipper closure with two hook-and-eye closures at top. It is fully lined in thin white fabric. Size 14.
Ensemble - Vest, Blouse and Skirts
Ensemble in blue and gold polyester consisting of mix and match component vest, blouses, skirts and belt. First image shows: a) Vest: A fitted, hip-length shell of blue and gold check polyester woven in a pattern of yellow/gold squares on a blue ground with thin white threading. It has a deep rounded neckline and nipped waist. The center front opening is secured with three chiffon covered snaps and has two bound button holes and two gold-tone metal buttons. The center front opening and the hem are faced with navy blue polyester embellished with three double rows of gold metallic running stitches. The vest is fully lined in blue silk. Designer's label is located inside center back, below the neckline: "Ronald Amey"; Retailer's label sewn in just above designer's: "Marie Leavell". b) Blouse: A fitted, hip-length shell of gold polyester with high rounded neckline, standing band collar and full-length set-in sleeves. Pair of deep wine red leather pumps. Shoes have a V-throat on vamp and are edged with thin bands of taupe leather around vamp and along outside panel ending in a triangular shape. 3 1/2" Continental set-back heel almost a stiletto, but wider and more oval in cross-section. Stamped in each shoe: "Charles Jourdan / Paris" and "Orient". Stamped inside each heel: "39 B / 63586 E". Stamped on sole: "Leather / Leder / Cuir / Made in / France"
Dress
Dress of multi-colored velvets. The floor-length dress has an empire waist and bell-shaped long sleeves. The upper, bodice, section is made of a sheer, multi-colored fabric woven with bands of gold thread. Over the bodice is applied sections of burnout velvet in various colors, forming bands running up the bodice, over the shoulders, and down the back, another band forming a 1" high collar, and as 2" bands around each wrist. The sections are bordered in gold cording. The lower, skirt, section is of green velvet printed in browns, greens, and gold in an abstract geometric/organic design. Fully lined in green silk(?). Center back zipper from neckline to just above waist. Three hook-and-loop closures on collar. Designer label sewn alongside zipper at shoulder-blade height at right: "Ronald Amey / New York". Evidence of removed label at inside, center front of dress below neckline.

Platform Pumps
Pair of platform pumps of orange/brown suede. The toebox, and entire upper of the shoes are of orange/brown suede, with a tongue attached at each side to the rest of the toebox by a band of elastic. The toebox rests on a thick platform covered with the same suede. The thick, chunky heel is also covered with the same suede. Stamped in gold inside shoe: "Back Street"

Pair of shoes of dark reddish-brown leather. The shoes are designed as modified moccasins, with squared-off toes. Across instep is gilt metal bar similar the the Gucci bridle. Slight extending tongue at throat. style; gold-tone bar on vamp. Thick stacked heel, tapering slightly to base. Hat
Hat of brown felt. Designed somewhat like a cloche, the domed crown is encircled at the base by a folded-over band of brown grosgrain ribbon tied at side, with a "pouf" of white, green, black and taupe feather. Fairly narrow brim, which is folded over and sewn down at edge, is turned up at front and left, down at right and back. The hat is unlined, with a dark brown grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. Designer's label: "Don Kline"
Pumps
Pair of pumps of pale gray/green satin. Plain uppers with applied oval panel of multicolored floral brocade simulating embroidery at vamp, within a metal twist/rope frame, as a decorative buckle. Evening Pumps
Evening pumps of mint green satin. The shoes are designed with a gently pointed toe and plain upper. Across instep is band of rhinestones, clear beads, and simulated pearl teardrop pendants. Miao People, Thailand/Laos, Festival Outfit A) Jacket. Jacket of black cotton, waist length, with standing collar. Front opening with no closure, worn with sides overlapping and forming "V" neckline. Standing collar faced with machine-embroidered ribbon of black ground with purple-ish flower blossoms with yellow centers, blue vines, and green leaves. This band continues along edge of opening to about 9 1/4" above hem. From that point to hem on each side of opening a different band is used, of purple and green foliate forms on black, with outer border of diagonal blue stripes and silver ovals on black ground with silver edges. A second machine-woven band of ribbon is applied as an outer border along the collar/upper opening band, with green, pink, and white stripes and bands of green and white trees(?) and a band of alternating green/yellow/white butterflies and same color flowers(?), all on a reddish ground. Long black sleeves have central wide band of orange satin with machine-embroidered multicolored sea dragons. Black fabric added after panels to form lower sections of sleeves. Garment is lined in black fabric, the collar and front opening backed with pink/purple fabric. Garment has a size tag sewn inside at back collar: "XXL". Not an American size. B) Skirt. Wrap style skirt with tiny pleats. Skirt formed of horizontal bands of fabrics sewn together, some embellished. Thailand - Hmong Hill Tribe Festival Attire A) Bodice of Black satin bodice with square neckline. Neckline "framed by embellished bands consisting of red outer and inner borders, "zig-zags" of red and blue bands, and applied flower-shaped pink and iridescent sequins with beads. Bands extend down front of bodice, and are around cuffs of the long sleeves. Around the neckline and cuffs of the 3/4-length sleeves are hung beaded pendants with silver-colored coins. Front opening along left side vertical band, with 4 hidden snaps. Unlined. No labels or tags in garment. B) Skirt, Knee- or Below-Knee-Length skirt of finely pleated black fabric. Wrap style, with plain panels at ends. Narrow waistband. Unlined, but faced at ends and with band near hem. No labels or tags in garment. C) Apron, Vertical front panel of black satin with an embellished "frame" composed of wide bands of decoration. Red outer and inner borders, "zig-zags" of red and blue bands, and applied flower-shaped pink and iridescent sequins with beads. Hung in rows across the apron are beaded pendants with silver-colored coins. Wide waistband matching the "frame" of the vertical panel, hung with beaded/coin pendants along most of lower edge. No labels or tags in garment. The following parts have separate records, not housed with garment: D) D) Hat. Hat formed of an open circle of black nylon(?) satin lined in black cotton. Upper portion with wide "rim" projecting out, from which hangs a fringe of white/clear beads, each of the 43 strands ending in a French Indo-China 10 centime coins, . Festival garment of Karen Hill Tribe A) Tunic. Black cotton square mid-length tunic, sides sewn except arm-holes, vertical slit at center front/back to form head-hole/neckline. Head-hole slit and arm holes edged with tiny white seeds. Body of tunic with horizontal bands of embroidery in various patterns (checkerboards, zig-zags, diamonds, "flowers") and colors (red, green, yellow, purple, pink, blue, orange), and horizontal bands of white seeds. At each side, and at center front and center back are "tassels" formed from the embroidery yarn. Bottom edge of tunic with fringe. Unlined. No labels or tags in garment. B) Skirt. Wrap skirt formed of rectangular panel of hand-woven cotton with horizontal woven wide stripes of red and black, with narrow stripes of green white, yellow, red, and black. Machine embroidered in yellow lotus(?) flowers with gold bugle bead centers. E) Headpiece. Ornate headpiece of cardboard in the kokoshnik style. Large, triangular panel is covered in gold couched metallic cording with beaded rosettes and sequin backgrounds. Lower edge with fringe of gold beads ending in gold teardrop beads. Upper edge with multicolored row of feathers. Elastic strap across back holding it into shape, and to secure to wearer's head.
Ensemble - Nubian Traditional Ensemble
Nubian Ensemble. A) Jirjara robe (Nubian-style young woman's galabeya) of sheer black machine made lace with floral pattern woven into the lace. Full-length, with rounded neckline. Wide rounded, almost boat-neckline edged with row of large, spaced golden discs. A second row of gold discs runs slightly lower across upper chest. Long sleeves with slight cuffs. Dropped waist with wide horizontal pin-tucks. Skirt gathered into sewn band just below bottom pin-tuck. B) Under-dress of blue cotton printed with ancient Egyptian-inspired motifs including lotus and flying birds, done in gold, red, and black. Full-length, with "keyhole" neckline, lower part of keyhole with scalloped edge. Slits at side seams from hem up to mid-calf. Very short sleeves. Garment cut to create very slight "A"-line shape, by cutting in under arms. Unlined. C) Head scarf of very fine black fabric. Triangular in shape, with edging of crochet/knitting of black yarn threaded with small clear crystal/glass cylindrical beads. Outer edge of beaded loop "tassels" of the same beads.
Ensemble - Egyptian Traditional Ensemble
Egyptian Ensemble. A) Galabeya. Full-length galabeya of black cotton, with rounded neckline cut at base to for a shallow "V". Caftan style, with long sleeves and slit from hem upwards on right side. Front of galabeya with embroidered and applique decoration. Around neck and front of bodice is floral decoration and scrolls in gold, greens, red, and blue, and central shield-shaped gold satin applique piece with embroidered scroll work in gold and blue. Lower part of galabeya with matching, but inverted similar gold satin appliques with embroidered scrolls, and embroidered floral forms. Long sleeves with thin rectangular embroidered gold bands along wrist. Unlined. B) Head Scarf. Rectangle of fine red fabric, lower edge scalloped. Upper edge with sewn border incorporating spaced gold cylindrical beads. Ends of scarf and scalloped area of lower edge with thin crocheted/sewn band with spaced gold tear-drop beads and simulated gold coins. Applied to center of scarf are two bands of red crocheted/knitted net with gold spherical beads and pendant simulated gold coins.

Waist/upper hip-length, of black velvet with all-over printed pattern in textured "paint" of leaves/flowers in dark reds/purples done in "dots", outlined in silvery white. No collar. Center front opening edged on inside with wide band of needlework with "zig-zag" in red, pink, and green cross-stitch, bordered in green and yellow, and in band of sparkly silver ovals containing green, red, and yellow metallic reflective strands. Outer edge of "saw teeth" in groups of red, green, pale green, and white. Cuffs of the long sleeves with same wide bands. Back of bodice with "flap" at neck, edged with pink and green, upper section of black cloth with printed flowers in green, pink, purple, and white, edged in places with gold. Lower part of flap of cross-stitch/needlework in pink and green with dark on white forming zig-zig-based pattern. Bodice lined in white fabric printed with dense, all-over pattern of small purple flowers with green leaves. No labels or tags in bodice. b) Skirt. Wrap-style skirt, knee-length or lower. Wide woven blue waistband into which main body of skirt is tightly pleated. Upper section of skirt of plain blue fabric. Lower part of a blue denim-like fabric similar to waistband (indigo dyed) with white resist pattern of bands and blocks and circles. This panel, itself pleated into upper panel, is embellished with horizontal bands of pink/magenta stitching, and a band of green ribbon with pink diamond shapes. Long blue fabric ties. No tags or labels in skirt. c) Apron. Narrow "apron" set horizontally. Waistband consist of (from top to bottom): Band of printed fabric with narrow blue border with blue printed design, then band of blue with white flowerheads separated by gold "x" shapes, then thinner lower border; Wider band of needlework with pink …

Hmong Hill Tribe festival ensemble, Thailand/Laos A) Bodice/jacket. Jacket of black velour, waist-length. Center front opening with no closures. On either side is wide applied band of embroidery in pink, green, white, and metallic gold, with braid border and outer colored "saw-tooth" edges of pink, green, red, and white triangles. Mid-length sleeves with matching wide bands at cuffs. Back of jacket with small square "flap" hanging from neckline made with same embroidered band. Fully lined in blue cloth printed with all-over dense floral pattern in pinks, blue, green, white, and yellow. No labels or tags in garment. B) Skirt. Mid-length skirt of various fabrics in horizontal bands. Uppermost band of black cotton(?) with elastic waistband. Next band from top is of blue cotton(?) heavily pleated into upper band, and with horizontal red lines embroidered/sewn in - one near top of panel, two near bottom of panel, with narrow band of "lattice" embroidered between the lower lines. Third panel from top is a dark brown/black more open-weave fabric with subtle reddish threads forming a repeated design of squares(?) around the band. This band has narrow dark purple velvet bands near the edges. Bottom band of skirt is a black velour. Unlined. No labels or tags in garment. C) Apron. Long vertical panel of black velour "novelty fabric" printed in metallic neon colors in a design of stylized feathers and shapes, with all-over blue iridescent(?) "sequin" dots. Front of apron with applied vertical bands of machine embroidered decoration in pinks, greens, white, and red consisting of heart shapes containing pairs of birds, within frames of spirals, zig-zags, straight lines, etc. forming diamond-shapes. Bands edged with pink ribbon. Running vertically down apron are three rows of small flower heads of colored felt(?) with golden metallic beads and opalescent/sparkly plastic flower-heads. "Bib" at front of upper part of dress with green, yellow, blue, red, and pink embroidery of stylized lotus, scrolls, border lines, etc. Front of skirt with large embroidered motif of lotus(?) growing from bowl, with other blossoms around, in same colors. Back is plain. Unlined. C) Head scarf of very fine black fabric. Triangular in shape, with edging of simulated gold-colored coins. With suite of costume jewelery of gold-colored metal hung with faux coins, consisting of: 1) Necklace. Simple gold chain suspending triangular "net" of gold quaterfoil-shaped links hung with tiers of faux coins. Simple hook fastener. "Cascade" style. 2) Headpiece (?). Formed of two linked triangles of net with 6-lobed openwork links, hung with tiers of faux coins. At center point is large heart-shaped pendant hung with fringe of coins on short beaded strands. 3) Earrings. Pair. Simple hook suspends horizontal bar from which hangs a triangular "cascade" of tiers of faux gold coins hung on a net of quatrefoil-shaped links. 4) Bracelet. Cuff-style openwork wire bracelet with fringe of tiny spherical bells. 5) Bracelet. Cuff-style bracelet of openwork metal hung with a triangular "cascade" of tiers of faux gold coins hung on a net of quatrefoil-shaped links.
Belly Dancer's Costume - Banjara Peoples of India
Bustier of a belly dancer's costume from the Banjara peoples of India. The bra-top of black cotton is embellished at front with silver coins and trimmed in multicolored cross stitch embroidery, mirror work, and Kangura patchwork appliqué. Plain black straps extend over shoulders and around back to tie.

Uzbekistan festival ensemble. a) Caftan/Dress of silk ikat. Full-length, very slight A-line, long sleeves. Shaped neckline. Body of caftan/dress of silk ikat in pattern of rectangular blocks of purple, white, yellow, and reddish-black with central ikat patterns of green, black, yellow, and pinkish, with white "eyes". Neckline is edged with band of rhinestones following the scrolling shapes, and continuing down to and across bust. Within band are small areas of "cutouts" backed with fine white mesh. Cuffs with scalloped edges and decorative stitching following edges. Unlined. No labels in garment. b) Coat of complimentary ikat. Full-length, sleeveless, center-front opening with no closure. Edges of neckline, center-front opening, hem, and deep side-slits are all edged with heavy yellow embroidered applique of scrolling bands with "strawberry-leaf" shapes, with yellow mesh backed openwork on leaves, tubular beads along the scrolling bands, and iridescent flower-shaped sequins accenting the edges. Unlined. The ikat pattern is same as dress, but predominantly in greens, blues, yellows, and white rather than reds and purple. No labels in coat. C) Hat. Square, box-form hat of stiffened dark brown(?) velvet almost totally covered in heavy gold metallic thread embroidery and with fine gold bugle beads and gold sequins. From top edge of crown is fringe of long bead strands of gold bugle beads ending in gold teardrop beads. Fringe is longer at sides and back, short in front. Lined in printed cotton, red with floral and white with floral. Whole interior is "shellacked" with glue to stiffen. 6 1/4" square x 3" high, not counting fringe.
Festival ensemble
Yao Tribe Festival ensemble. A) Pants. Black cotton(?) pants, 3/4 or longer in length. Plain waistband and upper section. Thighs, outsides of legs, and lower legs areas are intricately decorated, created in part by sewing together bands of woven work, and in part by bands of cross-stitch. The decorations are geometric forms, stylized natural forms, etc. in green, yellow, white, red, orange, pink, and black. No labels or tags in pants. B) Coat/Jacket/Top. Black cotton upper-body garment, full-length. Large "collar" of dark red fuzzy "pom-pom" edging with scattered green, yellow, and blue strands at base of trim and in places around neck. Long sleeves edged at ends in narrow bands of red and white applied fabric. Center front opening with no fasteners. Slits at sides from hem to waist create "ties" from the front flaps of the garment, which are trimmed in blue edging. At top of each side slit are attached three long tassels of magenta/pink yarn with beaded tops. No tags or labels in coat. C) Hat. - stored separately, on individual record. D)"Hat Scarf". Black strip of cotton(?) which terminates at each end in square panel with internal stiffening agent (cardboard?). Edged on two sides in magenta/pink/reddish "pom-pom" edging. Center of each panel with applied printed square of fabric with geometric motif of crosses in pink, green, red, and blue. No tags or labels in hat scarf. E) Back apron/belt panel. Central vertical panel consisting of black cotton vertical rectangle with wide border of blue silk(?). Backed with black cotton. Extending from each side at top are very long rectangular bands/ties. From panel outwards on each side: Vertical stripes of yellow, green, white, pink, white, blue, white, green, white; 5 squares of patchwork/embroidery in pink and green with small touches of orange, red, blue, etc.; Vertical bands …

B) Ghaghra (skirt) - Ankle-length skirt made of horizontal bands of various fabrics. Korean Hanbok. A) Jeogori (Jacket) of white and red damask patterned with floral motifs. Short, cropped white damask top with deep V neckline lined in red damask. Long sleeves, widening towards fore-arm and then curved to wrist. Under-arm area and cuff of the red damask. Center front opening secured with one hidden snap and two long ties of red damask. Lined in thin white fabric. No labels in garment. B) Chima (Skirt) of red damask matching the Jeogori. Full-length, wrap-style garment. Thin white straps to go over shoulders support wide upper band into which the body of the skirt is gathered. Ties at back with ties of red damask. Lined in dark red fabric. No labels in garment.

Hat
Hat of dark brown velvet. Somewhat styled as a "slouch hat", the slightly conical crown is flattened at top, and is embellished with concentric bands of top-stitching. Crown is encircled at base by a narrow band of taupe grosgrain ribbon, and has an ornament on right side consisting of a vertical 14" pheasant feather and various other brown and white feathers at base forming a "pouf". The wide brim is slightly wavy, turns down to edge, and is similarly embellished with concentric bands of top-stitching. The crown is lined in a steel gray satin, and has a steel gray grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. Designer's label: "Adolfo / New York Paris"
Hat
Hat of purple felt. Designed to appear as a beret, the hat has a low crown, folded and somewhat crushed, with parts extending out as a brim in front and a "wing" at side. No real brim, but the extensions of the crown simulate one. Curled around the "wing" is a band of metallic thread and beading braid. Unlined. With purple grosgrain inner hatband, and a black elastic cord to help secure hat to wearer's head. Maker's label: "Parkridge / Exclusives"
Scarf Hat
Hat formed of a printed scarf. The hat is constructed to look as a scarf that has been tied around the wearer's head, with long trailing ends at back. The under-structure is a domed crown of stiffened black mesh overlaid with the printed scarf, which has a navy blue ground, white stars, and gold American eagles. Cloche of brown/rust/beige crochet. The cloche is of openwork crochet, with a high, domed crown, having a wide band at lower edge that is solid crochet. Unlined.

Visor cap of medium brown plastic. The open crown consists of a vertical band which runs around front and sides, with brown and white elastic band across back. Printed at front center of crown is the Neiman-Marcus logo. The wide front visor is printed with three rows of scattered white squares.

Pillbox Hat
Pillbox hat of black jersey. The cylindrical crown has a flat, slightly recessed top, and bands of black silk ribbon decoration applied horizontally around sides. Upper and lower bands are of plain layered ribbon forming slightly molded bands, while central band is of twisted/folded/worked ribbon creating a dimensional braided pattern. Hat is lined in black satin, with inner black grosgrain ribbon hatband and a single small faux turtle shell comb to help secure it to wearer's head. Cap of blue felt. Designed as a modified baseball cap, the domed felt crown has a semi-circular visor at front. Main body of coat of pale brown and white check design, with cuffs, collar, and lower band of coat (about hips to hem) of light brown. Light brown and white check self tie belt. Side slit pockets. Long sleeves, high standing collar. Center back zipper closure running almost entire length of garment, from top of collar to about 3" above hem. Hook & eye at top of collar. D) Belt of brown leather with wide square, self-covered buckle. Two inches wide. Belt is attached to skirt with inner bands of leather to which loops from the skirt are sewn. Purse
Purse of brown and tan woven burlap-type fabric and brown leather. Rectangular, with rounded bottom and edges. Sides of fabric, end panels of leather, with leather handles and trim with brass hardware. Closure is a 1" inch leather strap with "door knocker" type fixture with a turn key closure. One zippered pocket interior center creates three distinct compartments. Designer's stamp on interior zippered pocket: "Etienne Aigner / Hand Made"
