Breton Hat

Description: Breton style hat of shiny red straw with pillbox crown. High, rolled back brim almost obscures crown. Red grosgrain ribbon covered button and streamers at center top of crown. Wide, red grosgrain ribbon forms hatband around crown. Unlined. Retailer's label on inside hatband: "Sanger Harris / Dallas" Size tag: "22"

Coat

Description: Coat of pea green wool. A-line, double-breasted, with eight smooth, round beige plastic buttons with four bound buttonholes. Pointed, rolled collar. Vertical, single-welt pockets at each side. Long, set-in sleeves. Lined in celery green taffeta. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Norman Norell / New York"

Ensemble - Day Dress and Jacket

Description: Ensemble of multi-color abstract/impressionistic foliage in green, orange, blue, lavender, and gold, consisting of: a) Day dress in sheath style, sleeveless, with a wide, rounded neckline. Center back zipper, and fully lined in royal blue acetate. Maker's tag towards bottom of zipper: "Order No. 2666 / Style 984 / Size 6 / Remarks" b) Jacket. Reaching slightly below waist-length, the jacket has a wide rounded neckline and elbow length sleeves. The center front opening secures with 3 black crocheted buttons and bound buttonholes, supplemented with a large covered snap at neckline. Lined in navy acetate. Designer's label under right armhole: "Tiffeau & Busch Ltd. / New York" The ensemble’s fabric is a blend of 95% cotton and 5% rayon in a linen weave.

Hat

Description: Hat of black, white, and silver artificial straw. Somewhat in a pillbox style, the cylindrical crown has a flattened top with a slight "overhang" on all sides, and is designed with the straw couched down on the top, running in parallel bands of color from side to side. Sides of crown covered in 2" wide band of shiny black vinyl like patent leather, with a swallow-tail pennant segment extending from the back of the hat. Lined in white fabric. Label sewn to back of inner headband: "Sally Victor / Headlines" Tag attached to label: "55₵"

Description: Hat of light brown straw. Hat has a cylindrical crown with flattened top. Around the lower part of the crown is a wide light brown grosgrain ribbon with loop and trailing ribbons at side, secured with two wooden buttons. The wide brim turns down at front and up at back. Unlined, with inner hatband of pale grosgrain ribbon. Label inside: "Elizabeth"

Description: Homemade, long-sleeved shirt of gold brocade, with straight button front, in the popular Elvis Presley or Renaissance style of the late 1960's. Multiple ballooned areas on the sleeves.

Shoes

Description: Pair of shoes of green leather. Styled as "sling-backs" with an open, rounded toe. The sides of the instep are connected by a square gold colored metal link. The strap at back heel is closed, with no buckle. The 3 3/4" high heel tapers slightly to base. Maker's mark stamped inside: "Palizzio" Handwritten inside: "5 B 1978 / 113PL83"
