Hydrogeochemical and Stream Sediment Reconnaissance Basic Data for Grand Island NTMS Quadrangle, Nebraska; Kansas: Appendix C

Description: Data collected as part of a hydrogeochemical and stream sediment reconnaissance of Grand Island NTMS quadrangle in Kansas and Nebraska including laboratory data on well water and stream sediments as well as field data.

Hydrogeochemical and Stream Sediment Reconnaissance Basic Data for Lincoln NTMS Quadrangle, Nebraska; Kansas

Description: From abstract: Results of a reconnaissance geochemical survey of the Lincoln Quadrangle are reported. Field and laboratory data are presented for 577 groundwater and 754 stream sediment samples. Statistical and areal distributions of uranium and possible uranium-related variables are displayed. A generalized geologic map of the survey area is provided, and pertinent geologic factors which may be of significance in evaluating the potential for uranium mineralization are briefly discussed.

Hydrogeochemical and Stream Sediment Reconnaissance Basic Data for Grand Island NTMS Quadrangle, Nebraska; Kansas

Description: From abstract: Results of a reconnaissance geochemical survey of the Grand Island Quadrangle, Nebraska; Kansas are reported. Statistical data and areal distributions for uranium and uranium-related variables are presented for 564 groundwater and 532 stream sediment samples. Also included is a brief discussion on location and geologic setting.

A Data-Management System for Areal Interpretive Data for the High Plains in Parts of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming

Description: From abstract: The High Plains Regional Aquifer System Analysis study has developed a regional water-resources (and related) data storage and retrieval system to organize and preserve areal interpretive data. The system is general and can easily be adapted for other studies. This report documents the High Plains data base as well as the general system that is independent of the High Plains area.

Estimating 1980 Ground-Water Pumpage for Irrigation on the High Plains in Parts of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming

Description: From introduction: This report describes the results of 1980 sampling of ground-water pumpage for irrigation on the High Plains, one phase of the High Plains Regional Aquifer-System Analysis project. These data were collected to estimate the volume of irrigation water pumped during 1980 and to determine current trends in irrigation pumpage on the High Plains.

Tectonic Map of Western Nebraska and Northwestern Kansas Showing the Distribution of Uranium Occurrences

Description: From introduction: The Cordilleran Foreland (King. 1951, p. 58-62; Horberg and others, 1949, p. 192194) forms a broad north-south belt, parallel to and east of the Cordilleran geanticline (fig. 1), in which the predominant geologic structure is a series of anticlinal mountains and broad asymmetric basins that contrast sharply with the folds and overthrusts related to the Cordilleran geanticline. A tectonic map of most of the Cordilleran Foreland (fig. 2) is being compiled as an aid to study the geologic setting of uranium deposits within the region, and to determine what relationships may exist between the distribution of uranium deposits and the regional tectonic pattern (Osterwald, 1955). The map will show the distribution of faults, uranium deposits, areas of volcanic activity, and crestlines and troughs of folds.
