Beta and Gamma Dose Rates From Terrestrially Distributed Sources

Transistorization of Nuclear Counting Circuits

Description: From Abstract: "The advantage of long operational life, low power drain and miniaturization may be realized in nuclear counting circuits through the use of transistors. The disadvantage of instability, due to the effects of temperature change in the transistor, may be minimized in counting circuit designs. Representative circuits of a binary stage, amplitude discriminator, one shot multivibrator, and ratemeters are included. These were designed using the criteria of an minimum Beta and a maximum Ico."

A Transistorized Pulse Height Analyzer for Gamma Spectroscopy

Description: From abstract: "A scintillation detector has a pulse height output which is a linear function of the energy of impinging gamma radiation. A pulse height analyzer system determines the amplitude distribution of this train of pulses. The system also displays this information graphically in a form which is convenient for further analysis."
