The Fibers Program Collection
Scope
The Fibers Program at the University of North Texas was founded in the late 1960s. Showcasing work from around the country, the program was groundbreaking in its approach to fibers media. Exposure to professional artists and experienced faculty shaped the academic focus of students in regards to the level of possibility, as well as the diversity of work found in the profession.
About the Digital Collection
This collection contains materials of the University of North Texas College of Visual Arts and Design (CVAD) Fibers Program, including work by BFA and MFA candidates, as well as work by faculty with examples of artists working professionally in fibers-related media. This includes a selection of slides, digital files, artist exhibition statements with research and Problems in Lieu of Thesis. The date ranges include work from 1967-2015.
