ALL THAT JAZZ
Homecoming 1981, Oct. 9-10,
was a weekend full of fun, excite-
ment and memories for NT stu-
dents and alumni. This year's
theme, "All That Jazz ... and
more," inspired many events dur- L! ~; i
ing the weekend. A pep rally Fri- i
day evening mustered enthusiasm
for the Mean Green Eagles. The
announcement of Linda Hesse as
Homecoming Queen was made at
this pep rally. A 1950's stage show
and dance featuring the Shirells,
Bobby Comstock and Lou Christie
was held in the A torchlight pa-
rade from the coliseum, led by the
Homecoming Queen and the Tal-
ons, proceeded to the Golf Course
for the lighting of the bonfire at
Saturday began with the Home-
coming Parade and Leon Breeden
as Grand Marshal. This was fol-
lowed by a luncheon and fashion
show for all alumni. The festivi-
ties continued with the kickoff of
the NTSU vs. New Mexico State
football game. The jazz theme was _
carried out with the Golden Eagles
Jazz Band, Moon Maids and Leon .

end concluded with a barbecue,
jambalaya and Dixieland Jazz
concert at the Alumni Center.
