The North Texas footballers ended the
season in the inaugural of the Salad Bowl
at Phoenix, Arizona, New Year's Day, los-
ing the classic to Nevada 6-13. The game
was hard fought all the way with the Eagles
taking the lead early in the first quarter as
they knocked some of the self-assurance out
of the Wolf Pack. With four minutes re-
maining in the second quarter. the Wolf
Pack came back with a 94-yard pass play
that netted a touchdown. The conversion
