HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATOR
Board Chairman O.B. O'Dell says a new administrator
for the Tarrant County Hospital District will be named within the
next ten days.
He indicates that neither of the two most mentioned
for the job -- Doctor W. W. Goldman Junior and Raymond E. Gray --
are in the running. Gray has been acting administrator since the
death of Dabney Gilliland last November 19th.
Ten members of the John Peter Smith Hospital staff
have threatened to resign if Gray is chosen. Dr. Goldman has resigned
as director of medical education as of July first...and says he
wouldn't accept the administrative post "under any circumstances."
O'Dell says the board is considering three otherapplicants.
