JACK RUBY 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1
A speedup in the handling of Jack Ruby's appeal is
ordered in Dallas by District Judge Louis Holland.
Ruby himself is taken to court in the new Dallas
County courthouse, marking the first time he's been
outside the jail building in more than two years.
Today's hearing was called by Judge Holland to find
out why there had been a six-months delay in
appealing a habeas corpus hearing to the Court of
Criminal Appeals. The hearing last year sought to
disqualify District Judge Joe Brown, Rub' 's
sister, Eva, and a brother, Sam Ruby, are in court
for the hearing. Ruby tells reporters the hearing
is just a farce, that he is the pawn of a political
conspiracy and w&s doomed from the start, He says
he has regretted at many times the killing of Lee
Harvey Oswald.
