NTSC to Meet N. Dakota
In First 1952 Home Game
A new stadium, a well-balanced
scheduler and a strong, but largely
unproved squad of. players are in-
dicated for the 1952 football season
at North Texas State, where fall
training will begin -Sept. 1, only
19 days before, the opening game?
Formal opening of the long-
awaited new stadium will be on

capacity stadium west of tHe
opened Sept. 27, when the
North Texas State College Ea-
gles meet the University of
North Dakota eleven in the first
home game of the season. The
Eagles will meet Texas Tech in
the stadium Nov. 8-^before a'
NTSC Homecoming crowd.
Although the stadium was for-
mally dedicated last March 4 along
with other NTSC buildings, the
Sept. 27 game will be the first use
- of it-and there will be very. brief

Athletic Director Theron J. Fouts.

Although the home schedule in
the 20,000 capacity stadium in-
cludes five games designed to ap-
peal to fans, the Eagles also will
cover many miles in five j-oad trips
to Odessa and WichitS1 Falls;
Memphis, Tennessee; State College,
Mississippi, and Dayton, Ohio.
Season-opener for the Eagles will
be at Odessa, Texas, Sept. 20, in a
game with Texas Western under
sponsorship of the Odessa KTwanis
Club. The Eagles -downed a Miner • -
eleven last season at El Paso, 33-0,
and Coach. Mike Brumbleow's team
will be seeking to even the series.
The Miners' lettermen losses have
been in the backfield, while the 7
Eagles lost heavily in the offensive.;
and defensive lines. In 1961 the
Miners had a seven-three record

Saturday activities will include
a parade at-11 a.m., the . football

game, square dances and another
