Fort Worth's first traffic death of 1966 occurs
at
this morning Hiway 81 South and Sycamore school
Road. 40 year old John Smith of 7405 died
after, his car collided with a car driven by
Charles R. Sowers of Kopperl. The impact threw
Smith from his car, and his head struck a small
highway divider post. Smith's 6 year. old daughter,
Donna, was also thrown out, and is in satisfactory
condition at a local hospital. His 13 year old
Curtis, was not hurt, and ran to the Smith'ss on
r~y
nearby home to tell his mother the accident.
The f. members of the Sowers family were notinjured.
