Mrs. Woodward was baby-sitting next door when her

husband t holding the three children. She
told investigators he told her he smelled smoke, and
found the tree a-flame. be says he tried to get
out the front door, but was turned back by the fire,
so he tossed them out a bed-room window, then escaped.
The three children were taken to a local hospital
where they were
treated for minor burns, and released.

nine year old Leroy, and six year old Barbara Ann,
