MED. KIDS IN AISLE
The band, one of eight out-of-California bands
invited to take part in the parade, has been
in training as well as practicing for the event.
Carol Tomlinson and Beverly Davis inspect some
tired and blistered tootsies, evidence of the
recent six-mile marches the band has been making
to get in shape for the three-hour, eight mile
long parade. Six former band members have been
assigned as foot doctors to spray foot-toughener
on and tape 138 pairs of feet before parade time.
MED. GAL STANDING ON SEAT
The train trip will end at El Paso where the band
will board six buses to continue the trip to Los
Angeles. They'll arrive Thursday at evening.
In a sixteen-page list of instructions, a request
from aR a Los Angeles hotel manager was passed
along -- don't play instruments in your hotel room.
