NATURAL SOUND THROUGHOUT STORY....
CORNER Cats don't seem to get stuck up in trees anymore. The
modern scratcher usually winds up in-some drain pipe,
like the one under the sidewalk at second-and-Houston
in downtown Fort Worth.
SOUND UP FOR "HERE KITTY KITTY, HERE KITTY KITTY."
The beckoning words are coming from Tony Ramirez whovolunteered his. services to the fellas from the
animal
control shelter, who need all the help they can get.
SOUND UP FOR GENERAL CHATTER...
COWD ON SIDEWALK Quite a crowd has gathered to watch during the 15-min-
utes or so it takes the drama to play itself out.
Ramirez by now has given up words for a pair of tongs.
SOUND UP FOR " THERE HE GOES, GRAB HIM!"7,W -7
