FURNITURE ROBBERY
It was a bad day all round at the Currie New and Used
Furniture store, 16-23 East Hattie in Fort Worth. Mrs.
Ardi May Payne tells the police that two negro men walked
into the store early this afternoon and told her it was r-
a stick up, and to open thecash register. Mrs Payne told
them it had been a bad day with no customersand there was
nothing in the Cash register. About this time, according
to Mrs Payne, her father, 72 year old James Currie, came
into the store. Disappointed in not geting any cash from
the register, the thieves lifted twenty dollars from Mr
Curries billfold, and sixty five dollars and a number of
credit cards from Mrs Payne's purse.' After getting all the
cash they could the robbers forced Mrs Payne and Mr Currie
into a rest room at theback of the store. After a short
time Currie and 11rs Payne came out to find the phone cordcut.
