DALLAS WAREHOUSE FIRE
A three-alarm blaze, described by firefighters as
the biggest one lately with the least damage, des-
troys a large warehouse in the 9-thousand block of
Harry Hines Boulevard in North Dallas this morning.
The building, owned by the Texas Housing Company,
was used during World War Two for the manufacture
of prefabricated shelters for the army. Since then,
it has, been used mainly as an army surplus ware-
house. A small portion of the building was being
used for storage by two other firms, the Alco Trailer
Company and theFling Trucking Line. Two semi-
trailors, several army trucks, and some lumber are
