Tessmer for a preliminary hearing on charges that
Adams bribed a Dallas police officer.
The hearing is held before peace justice Byrd who
swears in three detectives assigned to the criminal
intelligence t division of the police department.

Detective G. D. Gandy is the first and only state's
witness called by Assistant D. A. Bill Alexander.
Gandy testifies that early this month, he received
several phone calls from a man he believes was Adams.
The caller arranged to meet Gandy at an Industrial
boulevard drive-in on January lth. Gandy says the
man he met at the drive-in was Adams. He says ins.
