SOUND COMING
This was the year of the long stroll. President
Kennedy started it by quoting Teddy Roosevelt's
line about fit soldiers being able to walk
fifty miles in twenty hours. So, everybodytried it....few made it.
But, one that did
was WBAP's Wayne Brown, an outdoor type who
slicked off fifty miles from Fort Worth to Glen
Rose in thirteen hours and fifteen minutes.
It was a a great feat and the mayor and the
Glen Rose high school band were there to greet
Brown.SOF HERE
