MINIATURE BOOK BRACELET
Mr. W. R. Fletcher is a well-known rare
book and print dealer in London, and also
personally collects unusual book-related
objects such as silver filagree bindings for
the small London Almanacks (about which
we shall have a later article for MBN).
Mr. Fletcher has been fashioning a
charm bracelet of miniature books for his
wife for some time, and when we heard about
it we asked for details, which Mr.
Fletcher graciously provided, along with a
photograph (below). Fletcher writes: "...
it is getting a bit heavy carrying a library
around on her wrist, but it makes a wonderful
subject at any bookseller's party."
The Bracelet is of 18 carat Gold, with
seven miniature books each contained in a
gold case. Beginning with No. 1 at the top
right in the photo below, details are as
