2. Sales to the Public of Recent OTA Assessments
The Superintendent of Documents has gone back to press on nine
OTA assessments during the quarter. GPO has sold 21,949 copies
of the nine publications for gross receipts to GPO of approximately
$123,000.
In addition to GPO sales, private publishers have reprinted two
OTA assessments: The Effects of Nuclear War, and Residential
Energy Conservation. The nuclear war report sold 2,000 copies
within the first month; 1,000 of which were in England.
3. Requests for OTA Publications
The Publishing Office assumed responsibility for responding
to all requests for publications. From March 3 to March 31,
requests for OTA publications averaged 102 per day and of this
total, 29.6 were from Congressional offices.
